Great shovel! Exactly what I needed!
I am so very happy with this shovel. It's lightweight, but sturdy. My entire family has been able to use it successfully, including our 7 year old. We are using it to clean out our chicken coop on a daily basis. Does a great job getting the poop out and keeping the sand in. Easy clean up, just spray with the hose. No regrets!

fantastic sifting shovel
This is fantastic shovel. have some property with animals? This shovel sifts right thru the chicken poop, the shavings go to the ground and the poop goes in the bucket. This has make an incredible improvement in the chicken coop clean up process.I can't wait to try it in the horse paddock.Looked for a long time before I found it.

Bought this to pick up Alpaca poop! Alpaca poop is a very sought after fertilizer as it does not burn vegetation it is put on. To collect it I use a landscaping rake and this shovel. The dirt falls through and makes the job extremely easy. Very light weight, very well made and sturdy as all get out!

Giant pooper scooper
Love it. I use it to sift a potty area for my dogs and cats. It works great. A lot easier than using the little cat litter scoop.

Use for chickens
I use this to sift and clean the sand on the bottom of my chicken coop. It's lightweight and works well. Just wish it had more holes or holes all the way up the sides so more sand could fall through without having to shake it.

Very sturdy, well made
The reason for 3 stars is: let's face it - we are all looking at this rake to sift out small pellets of poo from our hooved animals so we can salvage as much shavings/sawdust as possible, right? The design as far as the hole sizes is ok (fine for lambs, too large for pygmy goat). The sides need to be bigger or deeper shovel in order to shake the rake to actually sift any of the good stuff out of it. I was very pleased with the product's quality, but it barely gets used in our barn because of it not performing as we'd hoped.

Keeping my Pygmy goat house clean!
My little Pygmy goat house is bedded with pelleted bedding that fluffs up about like saw dust. The shovel sifts out the poop pellets pretty well.I wish the sides were a bit higher and the holes went back a little further-but all in all Iβm happy with it and glad I bought it.
