Fosgate has NEVER made a bad driver... But neither has JL, the question at what price for that perfect driver. Fosgate's p3 shallow drivers were some of THE BEST shallow subs you could buy, but also very pricey. Is this comparible? Suprisingly this is quite a loud driver(especially for a shallow) and a FOSGATE! It seems to good to be true. But its not. Fosgate has NOT even sacrificed their sq. This sub gets LOW and TIGHT. Very versatile entry level subwoofer.Power?Ive taken a bit of time to get aquainted with our buddy. It has a beefy motor on it for shallow in this price range.They say it does 250 RMS on paper but with that motor and listening experience I beleive I could even push it to 350.ATLEAST 300. surround is nice to, expect air movement because this thing can do it.Absolutely 5 stars for this thing. Fosgate did a great job on this driver. Had it for over a year been pushing a little over 300 into it with a power acoustik amp.Worth a buy FOR SURE.

Have this hooked up to a monoblock boss amp 1100 wats have it barely turned up on the amp and sounds loud and clear deep bass

I bought two of these to fit into a custom enclosure for my Chevy Avalanche because my previous sub was too deep to fit. They are powered by a "2000 watt" pyramid amp that I had to turn down because the bass was simply overwhelming. I didn't know what to expect with a shallow mount sub, but I trust the brand and I wasn't let down. These things sound amazing. The price is relatively inexpensive and the quality is top notch.

sound great! could be a little deaper bass but great for the money and sound good in my single cab truck
