I have an older Great Dane & periodically his long intestines will act up one way or another. Whatever the underlying ailment is, these at least quickly minimizes whatever discomfort he is feeling and will soon spur him to go back to eating his meal. I have no way of knowing if these actually cure his minor ailments, but it does get him through temporary bouts of discomfort for whatever minor problem to work itself out. I have another dog and they both can smell the liquid before I even tear a packet. This product must be the best thing they have ever tasted because if they could, they would do backflips! It smells like fake gravy to me but what do I care? I’m not eating it! I don’t put it in their food but tear a corner & administer it to them as their name suggests and have them lick the packet as I squeeze it because I want it in their systems before they eat. It’s a sloppy mess and they are so ravenous for it that it’s kind of of fun watching them get every bit they can even all over your hands! They were already expensive at $30 a box but I will pay for products I know will help them. Raising the price recently to $10 was more than a sticker shock, especially when you see how tiny these packets these are. I am incensed. Until I find an appropriate replacement I will buy these. I plan on writing the company about their egregious price hike. One shouldn’t have to spend outrageous amounts of money to keep your pets in tip tip shape.

When first opened the entire house could smell what is best described as diesel fuel mixed with dead meat for 2 hours. Very strong. Lingers. If you get it on your hands... wash them... hands still smell. Also, we have a bulldog and this has not helped with gas at all. Actually made it worse because of the smell of the product plus the his gas is pretty unbearable. For $40 dollars I expected better.

Our elder Chihuahua who fluctuates between 4.5 and 5 lb. has begun having occasional digestive issues. He's quite a picky eater, so finding a product that he will actually eat is a positive. My flavor rating is based on that. The scent is beef gravy...just a little strong for my sensitive nose, but again, he likes it. Thumbs up! We drizzle half an envelope of Licks Dog Digestion over 1 meal each day and have noticed that it seems to reduce the frequency of his occasional discomfort when we use it consistently. It's a little pricey, but since we divide the packet (his meals are small), that makes it a little more affordable. My overall rating also reflects that, because in dividing the packet contents, it would be nice to have different packaging; perhaps a bulk pkg where we could just measure out a teaspoonful rather than needing to refrigerate the small open foil packet (note - no need to refrigerate unopened packets). I would also prefer not having so many individual foil packets going into the landfill.

These packets work so well for my dog and his sensitive stomach. When I give add this to his dinner he has not problems with gas. The only negative about this item is that the cardboard box it comes in has a perforation at the bottom to pop out the cardboard to dispense the packets. I ordered these twice and both times the cardboard was already popped open so it looked like the product had already been open. I was a little scared to give it to my dog. The first one I returned. The second one came the same way.

This is our 3rd rescue dog that has had stomach/gas issues. After trying a number of remedies in failure, I purchased this to give it a try. And IT WORKED! This calmed our dog's tummy in about 30 minutes to where they weren't crying in pain. One of the best things I've ever gotten for our dogs.

This product saved my dogs life. He suffered from chronic stomach pain that the vet could not seem to fix. Gas pills helped some, but he was losing weight and miserable. After taking this for three days, he was a brand new dog. He is healthy now—so grateful for this product.

Mixed review on this....all my dogs seems to go mad for the flavor and taste but if your dog is allergic to chicken stay away. On the other hand, it didn't do anything except give my dogs diarrhea every time I have used it. It's like the treat made by the Kanine Kaopectate company. You may need a medicine to stop the runs after they eat it!!!

Great for any dogs that might have digestive issues or occasional upset tummy. Easy to use, mix in bag, squeeze out into large spoon or put on food. They love it. Helps with our older dog.
