Used these on a wood decking hatch. Mortice them in so they are flush. Worked great

It is a mortise install. If you can use a chisel your good to go.

Used these to lift the bottom out of a couple cabinets for cleaning and storage possibilities. They worked great, the edges are a little sharp but because they are not intended for constant use that is just and they are not sharp enough to cut you. I would use them again.

If the back had been filled in (a flat solid backing) it would have been amazing. But you have to score whatever this sits on in a way to get it perfectly seated.

I don't think this this a flush-mount. This is inlaid. It requires you to cut into the wood in order for the device to occupy the hole and create the illusion that it is flush mounted.To me, it would be flush if I could just screw it in and be done with it. This is a bit more work.I also do not like that it isn't spring loaded. What's the point of having it recess and look flush if there is no spring to hold it in? I used it, but in retrospect I would have went with a handle. Since there is 0-value in it being flush if I have to drill a hole, and there is 0-value in it being flush if the handle is always held down from the mount by gravity.

Used these set in blue stone for an access cover for my sewer clean out. Ended up using SS flat head machine bolts .These are well made and strong

Good quality but wish the finger hole was bigger.
