MARUTA® H7 55W 12 V 5500K, Super White Series Xenon Gas Filled Headlight Bulbs (E4) With Advanced Technology

We have been trying to test different halogen bulbs for our 2014 Jeep Cherokee Sport (with 9012/HIR2 halogen projectors) as most who own these vehicles know that the DRLs are white led strips while the headlights are halogen projectors.We wanted as close to white as we could and that’s hard to do without going blue. These super white bulbs are good, but they are kind of dim which is the catch, sure they’re whiter when looking directly at them (with just a very slight tint of yellow) and they are whiter on the road but you’ll only really notice the color difference on an extremely dark road. Other then that these bulbs are very dim down road. Which I guess is the downside to blue tinted halogens, whiter but dimmer.TLDR.Whiter but not as bright down road as stock bulbs.

These bulbs are very good at lighting the road, the problem is the reflector quality of some cars of the headlight unit itself ( not the bulbs ) , also white light in the rain is not the best colour to use, standard bulbs seem to be brighter in the rain ( you can Google the reasons why ) I have had these bulbs in my car for over a year and I can see more of the road than with standard bulbs ( low and high beam ) they are top quality and long lasting, I'll buy these again when the time comes, just ignore the negative reviews there's nothing wrong with these bulbs.

Not as bright as other headlight bulbs but acceptable

Been looking for bright white halogens for months for my Ford focus st and the reviews on these were the best I have seen among all of the other top leading brands like Phillips and osram. These are just as white as my led side lights which I did not expect. Some reviews mentioned them not lighting up the road very well. I have a smoked tint on my headlamps and these lights still light up the road perfectly. Maybe it depends what car you have or headlamps I'm not sure but I highly recommend these. Easy to fit and very reasonablly priced.

This isn’t 5500k as advertised, it gives a more yellowish tint than white. The more disappointing thing is that you can hardly see anything with them fitted, I’ve seen tea lights brighter than this.Overall disappointing.

To get a whiter looking light from a Halogen bulb, you have to filter out some light... hence the blue coating on bulbs. There is no other way to achieve a whiter looking light from a halogen bulb.For those of us with a combined DRL and High Beam bulb (H15), this presents a problem. To get a whiter DRL, you have to sacrifice the performance of your High Beam! The whiter the DRL, the poorer the High Beam.Maruta H15 bulbs have the deepest blue coating I've come across, and as a consequence they produce the whitest road legal DRL output I've come across. Which is great!The downside is that when you put on the High Beam for your headlights, you'll barely see any improvement from your Dip Beam. This is a big problem!The best compromise I've personally found is to use OSRAM COOL BLUE INTENSE H15 (20% more brightness, up to 3,700K, halogen) for my DRL/High Beam.Why, I hear you ask, can no-one produce a hybrid H15 bulb, with a white DRL, whilst keeping the High Beam powerful and usable? (by leaving that less white which is an unfortunate necessity). Or allowing us to separate the DRL and High Beam by plugging something in to allow us to use separate bulbs?The answer is, I guess, cost and market. How many of these bulbs would a bulb manufacturer sell?Do you see how LED DRL's are becoming more and more strip like? It's marketing, so make us upgrade our cars! Non-LED DRL's are the single biggest reason to upgrade your car right now! Tell me I'm wrong!It's not our fault! It's the marketeers who know how status driven the UK is.The answer is, accept what you have... upgrade to a slightly whiter light if you must (as I have)... and stop looking for what will never be invented! (as I have finally accepted too).I keep the Maruta's as spares, and for a white DRL, you'll be hard pushed to get anything better! But for safety, and to have a usable High Beam, you'll be hard pushed to better the Osram's, or perhaps their Philips equivalents.

Needed these as we were driving abroad and our original bulbs that came with the car were terrible. Certainly better once fitted and cost effective compared to others

The media could not be loaded.  If your car has reflective bowl and you haven't got lenses and still want to have cold white and bright bulbs that's it!If your lamps were correctly adjusted prior to installation this H15 Maruta bulb won't dazzle and flash other drivers whilst in use as DRL.It states it's road legal on the box and E4 is printed on each bulb. So far I haven't been flashed by anyone at night.I've attached the video on which you can see the difference. I used along with Maruta H7 High Beam/DRL 5500k to match colors.In my opinion it's very good choice.

Die Leuchtmittel sind im Farbton tatsächlich deutlich weißer als andere mit ähnlicher Beschreibung. Ob sie genauso lange halten bleibt abzuwarten. Trotzdem klare Kaufempfehlung.

Die glühbirnen sind trotz lichtausrichtung nicht zu gebrauchen.Manchmal bemerkte ich nichtmal das ich fernlich an hatte. (Der Gegenverkehr auch nicht)Somit einfach nur Müll.
