Great rose bush!
Amazing plant! Huge number of blooms that last a long time. No smell tho, but you can’t have everything.

So far, so good. Can't wait to see the blooms
The rose arrived in good shape. I must admit I was waiting and watching so the rose didn't have to sit on my front porch for hours. I put it in a large pot with decent drainage, put the pot in what I hoped was a good spot, and gave it some water. So far the rose is growing well and showing a lot of new growth. I live in San Jose California and roses do seem to do well here, but I'm famous for my "black" thumb. If the rose can survive me, it must be good. The first picture is the Abracadabra, the second one picture is an earlier rose called Oranges 'n' Lemons. They ought to be beautiful together.

Absolutely stunning!!!
I have been looking for this specific rose bush for sale for many many years. I've never been able to find it. Ever! I've only ever found it for sale in Canada or Australia, which they don't ship to the US. You can't imagine my surprise to find it for sale on Amazon of all places. It got decent reviews but I don't think anyone had posted about the flower itself. I was so worried about paying good money for a rose bush that might end up not even being the correct one. Well much to my surprise and enjoyment, not only did the plant arrive healthy and happy, it actually gave me one flower this year! It didn't grow very much for me because I kind of neglected it and didn't get it planted right away. It got one bud late in the season. It took a little while to completely open but it was everything I'd hoped it would be!I have read that this rose is very finicky and sensitive. While I'm hoping that I can keep it alive and happy, I decided maybe I should order a second one as backup. However, they were out of stock by time I went to order it. I'm hoping it will become available again next year along with other unique varieties of roses that I'm looking for. I definitely recommend!

Beautiful!! Much to my surprise, they came from my hometown. Rooted well, one full bloom with several ready to burst. The prettiest so far!

Rose was packaged well and seems healthy
****UPDATE****I really hope it survives and grows stronger. Seems so small and fragile still. After a few months in the ground, regularly fertilized and treated with the same consistent care I give my grafted roses, this rose hasn't grown in height at all. I read that own-root roses spend most of their first year on root development, but I have no idea as this is my first non-grafted rose. I have gotten 3 small roses from it, but the canes are so small they can't support the flowers, one cane even snapped under the weight. As soon as the buds begin to open up, I clip them and take them inside. They last quite a long time inside in a vase (over a week). The leaves that had the mildew like coating were removed and new leaves grew quickly. Among those, there was quite a bit of blackspot though. I contacted the seller to ask about growth habit, but no one ever replied. Crossing my fingers it gets strong enough to overwinter.Canes are smaller than I'm used to, but it is an 'own root' rose. These roses can be slower to start but once they are established they are known to be more disease resistant and much hardier. I did notice quite a bit of die back where it was pruned prior to shipping. It had a few spots on the leaves as well but I think these are things it can overcome once established. I kept it inside for a week prior to planting due to some lower freezing temps in the forecast, so that could have stressed it a bit or the trip across the country. I think it will make a wonderful addition to my rose garden. Looking forward to watching it grow and hopefully I'll be a repeat customer. It already has a small rose on it, which is beautiful, first bloom of the season.
