I haven’t given it to the child yet but I know they will LOVE all the realness of it. I opened it and got it all ready and tried it. Once all the clips were cut the item is ready to go. I checked the batteries included and they were fine. It makes all the noises. The cash drawer opens then when closed it dispenses the change into a cup attached. The scanner dings, the keypads work with sound. The hand held scanner also works. There is enough money to play with and it is decent quality. There are 3 pieces of fruit to scan but anything will scan and ding. This item is worth the small extra cost over simple cheap ones. Can’t wait to see them play with it.

I bought this for my 4yr old nephew and he loves it. Hours of fun playing shop with his older brother. It's a sturdy good sized toy. There are different cards depending on the type of shop play i.e, groceries, hardware or clothing, which slot into the checkout 'screen'. The hand held scanner beeps just like a real checkout too. Comes with pretend notes and big coins, and a small amount of plastic fruit and veg. I bought extra pretend food and a little basket too.
