Recognized and worked right away - BUT was unable to remove after installing (even after unlocking it)
UPDATE 6/23/16: The transceiver is still working great, but I'm going to dock another star because I tried to get it out again and was still unable to. The release mechanism just doesn't work. I think I'll be able to poke something in there when the time comes (looking at another one to see how they work) - and I don't really need to get it out - but I think the fact that none of the ones I ordered are coming out is a defect and worth losing 2 stars.Original Review:I just installed four of these to connect a Cisco Meraki MS220-8 to two different Cisco Meraki MS42 switches. I wanted to use these because on the MS220-8 - this gives you two extra ports beyond the 8 built-in ports (Sidenote: not so on the MS220-24 - the 4 SPF ports on those switches are shared with the last four Ethernet ports - but on the MS220-8 the two additional SPF ports are NOT shared which is nice). They plugged right in and the switch picked them up and started passing traffic right away. The only issue I had (and hence the loss of a star) is that I couldn't pull the transceiver back out. See, after I set it up, I decided that instead of going to two different MS42 switches that maybe I would uplink to only one of them and use both ports as an aggregate port for double the bandwidth between the switches. However, when I tried to remove the transceiver, I could not get it out. Like most transceivers, you need to open the little handle on the face of the switch and that's supposed to unlock it so you can pull it out. But, for both transceivers they won't pull out even after opening the handle. It's like the unlock mechanism is not engaging. I fiddled with it for a number of minutes (trying to put pressure one way or another as I opened/closed the handle while pulling). I'm hoping in the future there's a way I can get it to disengage but for now I just left it. I didn't try unplugging them from the MS220-8 - only from the two MS42 switches. But, having it happen on 2 of the 4 transceivers makes me a little worried.I'm only docking 1 star under the assumption that I'll be able to get them out eventually - they function great otherwise. But, if they're permanently stuck in my switch then I might have to come back and dock another star or two for mechanical failure.
