FURminator 10731 Long Hair Deshedding Tool for Cats, Small

I bought this around 5 years ago and unfortunately my long hair cats are not brush friendly. BUT I found that it works GREAT at removing cat hair from cushions, throw pillows and especially their favorite bed- the Meowfia felt bed-also available on amazon.

Best brush I have found. Very little pulling and hurting. My cat is so much more comfortable now. The size is good too. Some brushes are too big for little cats.

I can't quite tell why furminator brand deshedders are so much better than the myriad of knockoffs I've tried over the years, but they 100% are. Save yourself money and headaches and get yourself the real deal. My cat loves these but hates the cheapies, and it pulls out way more fur.

Do not bother wasting time with other hairbrushes. Mine hates being brushed on the neck with it, but it feels nice on the back. This brush is perfect to get rid of loose hair during the day. When it comes to brushing pets, feel like several brushes are needed. A forehead brush, winter/summer coat brush removal, and daily loose fur brush.Probably different with different cats. Hand it to US actually inventing a good product.My other favorite brush is the silicone brush, like a shower massaging brush. This brush is good for shedding. You can keep brushing without needing to keep removing the fur off the brush. I removed mine coats in seconds, because I could just keep on brushing, instead of wasting time to remove the fur. But that brush isn't very good to remove light shedding, I needed another kind of brush. Tried using the shedding brush and all I did was make my allergy act up because of increasing his dandruff.

Works well on our Maine Coon.

Seems to pull and thin the fur too much. Persian kitties no like.

I have two kitties. One 11 month old, has a fairly healthy coat but is shedding her winter undercoat. I also have a rescue 6 month old I've had for less than a week. His coat is dry, shedding from lack of care and just gross. This product has helped me with both. I have removed SO much fur from the two if them, it's insane. They pur the entire time and rub against it. When I stop, they pat at my hands for more. It's very easy to use, is super easy to clean and , more importantly, it's effective!

I have a different one for my short hair Tabby. Recently adopted 8 year old brindle and she has under coat, semi long hair and small body. This works perfectly. I’ve found it really matters to buy for the size of your cat. She used to pull and tug at her under growth but since grooming her with this that has completely stopped.

My cat has been having a lot of hairballs because she was grooming herself so much but thanks to this brush I am getting a lot of her extra hair out so now that should help her out a lot.
