RubiesWomen's Daphne Adult Sized Costumes, Purple, STANDARD US for Themed Parties and Halloween

I wear LG/ size 12 and I would say that is the max this costume can handle. Its rather cheaply made, but it was perfect for what I needed! The wig was awful, did even come close to fitting, and I already wear glasses, so I didn’t try those.

The girl in the stock photo obviously had it altered. I am 5'2'' and 103 lbs. It is sold as a 1 size fit all dress....but when I got it, i saw the "xxl" tag on the dress... I guess what the manufacturers did was that they had too much xxl dresses in their inventory and decided to sell it as "1 size fits all" and they forgot to remove the "xxl" tag that was originally there. Point is... it is extremely large, and the dress went past my knew and was very wide. The width of the boots were very large as well. I am slender and the elastic did not hold the boots up. There is another Daphne dress amazon offers and it is super cute and sexy....but it is 60$+ shipping and tax..and I didn't feel like spending that much money.However, i was prepared at how ill fitted it would be...but for 20$, I figure I would just buy it for the material and alter everything myself. I ended up cutting 6 inches from the dress and hemming it down to a size zero. I had to re-do the elastic on the boots. I didn't like the wig at all, it looked extremely cheap and the color was too intense, I bought a different wig instead. But if you do not want to invest in a different wig, I suggest soaking it in conditioner then letting it hang to air dry, it should be easier to manage after that. Anyway, the end product turned out great. I threw my costume away after 2 nights of use. It was money well spent. Here is a picture of myself in the costume after the alterations. I modernized "daphne" a bit and made her into "Hipster Daphne" by wearing a knitted cap.

I never write bad reviews because I always feel bad after. This just really needs an honest review so bad. The entire costume is basically made of felt with all kinds of loose threads on every single seam. It doesn’t really look very much like the picture at all. The folded part in the front of the skirt doesn’t lay nice at all, it just looks like it was sewn wrong and left like that. The worst part of all was the wig! It was so ridiculously small, I don’t think I would have even fit my 9 yo. It sat on top of my head like a damn beanie!! Not to mention the quality and cut/design was all off and just ugly. The glasses were terrible like cheap dollar store sunglasses. I threw them in the trash and never used them. Also, there are no orange socks in the costume, which they do say in the description but if you didn’t see that just a heads up. I really suggest looking elsewhere for a Velma costume or just getting a red skirt and orange sweatshirt.

So I'm a bigger guy 6'2" 215lbs and got the one size fits all. I was worried that it was not going to fit given my luck with the one size fits all idea in the past. Once received I quickly tried it on, the Green shirt fit....... but was a tad tight, I was going to wear a white shirt under it but am not sure if I'll be able to now. The pants fit with it's elastic waist but were long even for me and looked a bit sloppy (they also have no pockets). The star of the show in the kit was the wig, WOW! what a riot it was when I put it on. This thing looks more like a dead rabbit than the wig depicted in the add/on the bag. It fit fine and I'm sure if you tried to comb it a bit it would look better but as is....... this thing is crazy but fun as hell. As for the goatee, I did not try it on being it seems to be a one shot deal and I need to for a party. All in all, for the money it's ok, I'm sure you could find a cheap green shirt that's better quality and some old brown pants...... but you won't get the thrill of the wig and the laughs it will cause.

This costume was a great buy because of the price. The quality of the material is actually pretty good. Now here's my negative remarks that might actually be positives for you. I'm 5'4" and the dress comes down to my knees. I wanted it a little shorter. I wear a size 4-6 and it was a little big on me, not horrible but a little loose. It's probably closer to a size 8. Now the wig, HORRIBLE! It's just awkard and I don't like it at all. It feels horrible and I couldn't wear it. So instead I used orange hairspray for my hair and it worked out great. Overall I'm happy with the purchase.

These "worked" for us for halloween, but honestly wouldn't recommend them.Daphne: Wig was SUPER curly, not straight like the picture and the green scarf was way short. Boots are really just a cover up to your own boots. Looked cute, but by the end of the night, totally ripped up.Fred: Same deal on scarf. Orange one way small. Pants and shirt were fine. Fred a little better than Daphne.Cute idea, but pretty cheap looking

This costume was SO freakin' cute! It was much larger than what it shows in the picture, and I'm pretty petite, so I took it in and had it altered to fit me. I got tons of compliments on it. The scarf was short, but whatever. I'll probably buy a different scarf next year. Also, instead of wearing the ugly orange wig, I bought a big pink headband and wore that instead. For larger women, I did see another woman in the same costume. She was probably a size 14, and she wore the dress unaltered. It looked a little snug on her, but she looked real cute. She also ditched the ugly wig and bought a different wig and another scarf.

The shirts didn't fit so we bought different shirts to go with the rest of the costume. The glasses and wig come with the costume which I thought was awesome. I'd say if you wear a Medium it would fit fine. A large is questionable depending on your chest size. The material stretches, it just didn't stretch enough for my size. I wear an xl.

This was a last minute costume for my sister. It was a funny night before Halloween, trying to fix this up so she could at least wear it. For starters, the dress was too long; it fit like a sun dress. The wig was also pretty poor 😂. It had all these Annie-like curls which looked terrible. The wig was also pretty frizzy, and we tried to straighten it out, but that didn't really work either. For the price, I guess we weren't expecting anything that good, but this purchase was just pointless. We ended up DIY-ing the costume by just using regular clothes put together that kind of looks like Daphne.

This costume stated one size fits all upto size 14, no way I think would be too big for someone who is a size 14, I am a 12 and was far too big and too long, calf length, but I am only 5ft 2. Very poor quality threads hanging off the dress, scarf tiny, wig attrocious.. boot toppers may have been ok, but it is most definitely being sent back...
