Fairly successful hatch rate. 50/50.
We had 6 fertile chicks out of 12 so fairly good #. Unfortunately 3 didnt hatch and I believe were shrink wrapped. I would have helped them if it had known. This was my first time incubating chicks. A lot of learning. We have three adorable chicks!

No hatch rate
I’m giving 1 star for the packaging my eggs came in. They came well packaged and safe very impressed. One was cracked which I expected. Placed the remaining 11 in my incubator. Day 7 candled them and I found 7 were developing. Only day 17 candled again before lockdown and sadly I only had 2 left that developed thus far. Waited for day 21 and noticed not one pip or anything yet decided to leave them in for an extra few days day 23 and sadly no pips candled them real quick and no movement sadly they didn’t make it. So I ended up with a batch that never hatched.

Love the Chicks!
Ordered one dozen and received two dozen! Unexpected but very much appreciated. They were packed very well and none were cracked. Out of the 24 eggs, only 5 weren’t fertilized, which is a great percentage. They’re a variety of colors and they’re all doing well—a couple are even feather footed. Great value for the money.

Good looking eggs.
1 arrived broken. Good variety in color and size. First candling: All 11 seem fertile.6 of the 11 hatched.

Not the greatest succes
Perfectly packaged but only 1 chicken hatched out of 12 eggs and little doubt about the freshness of the eggs since they were shipped the moment I ordered while I would think it takes a while to collect fresh eggs from the coop(s). Also it was said that delivery would be taking more than a week while I had the eggs delivered 2 days after I place my order…Only 4 were fertilised of which one eventually came out.

Room for improvement.
I have hatched chicken and duck eggs with my kindergarteners for years. I have always gotten my eggs locally, but the hatch rate leaves much to be desired. I thought by ordering them online this time I might get better results. The 12 eggs arrived. All were carefully packaged. One egg was double-bagged and it was cracked, which leads me to believe that it had a crack when shipped and was double bagged in the hope it wouldn't get worse. It got worse. With a new incubator carefully calibrated, we waited for the remaining 11 eggs to hatch. Sadly, only 3 hatched. The kids are thrilled with our chicks and can't wait to interact with them. Of the 9 unhatched eggs, most were infertile and two developed only partially. I think a hatch rate of at least 50% is not unreasonable, especially since this is a business specializing in hatching chicks.

Amazon eggs for the win
Update: ONE OF THESE IS A ZOMBIE CHICKEN!! Best $40 bucks I spent on 12 eggs ever!!!So I bought these a bit skeptically just to see if I could get decent hatching eggs off of a site like Amazon and while I have some meaningless gripes I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.I bought one dozen and I checked all the reviews and pics first and was happy to see some naked neck chicks in the pics and 90% of people were saying their order came with a few extra eggs for free incase some didn’t hatch. I loved this. So my only complaint is that I did NOT get any naked neck chicks (but really how much of a complaint is that on a mystery pack anyway, not going to stop me from buying from them again) AND I was not one of the lucky ones to get a few extra eggs packed in my order. But really how much can I complain about that seeing as I got exactly what I paid for and THEY HATCHED!!!Out of 12 eggs 9 ended up developing. I used my go to incubator and have been incubating all my flocks eggs in it with near 100% hatching rates so I know it was not the incubator but 9 out of 12 is great. They came packaged beatifically so I don’t think it was shipping, I think it’s just the nature of things.Of the 9 remaining eggs, 7 of them hatched and survived. One egg…I dunno it looked like a mutant when I finally opened it up, had never developed correctly and the heart was on the outside of its body so obviously that one was something and one chick hatched but did not thrive. The other 7 are doing soooo well! I’m almost positive there’s at least two frizzles because of the wing development, some have feathered legs, some don’t. I think a couple are bantams or silkies maybe. There was a definite variety of egg color and size when I got them so I can’t wait to see what they develop into. All in all I would definitely buy from this seller again because 7-9 out of 12 eggs was not bad odds considering the circumstances. Thank you!
