I bought these shadow boxes to house my sister's enamel pin collection. It is ever growing so I wanted her to be able to quickly move them around and add to it so the front open feature of these boxes made it really simple! I started out with 1 box and since I was using it for pins I bought cork board for the inside so the pins had something to grip and stay in place. After I saw how perfect the first box was I ended up buying two 4 packs. You really cant beat the price of these frames but even if you could you shouldn't bc they are great. They are made really well and if there was any "complaint" to be had it would be that on a few of them the corner joints for the door have a bit of spacing so it doesn't look solid but it is.I did have one frame arrive missing most of the screws for the hinges (and by missing I mean not installed the screws were stuck in the packing materials haha) I reached out to the company and they quickly came back with a few options to resolve the issue (I didnt want to send back all 4 frames just for the one). Everything was resolved quickly and above and beyond my expectations! I will absolutely be buying future frames from Golden State

The first one they sent came in pieces. With that said, be careful how you use this. I would not recommend hanging on a wall as I don’t think it’s sturdy enough. However, the second one was in tact and I used it to create a memorial for my beloved doodle dog. I was able to pin one of his hoodies and a matching leash and harness set in this with ease and a bunch of push pins. It turned out well.

The only thing I would suggest is to add an option to stand up at an angle, like a picture frame

Beautifully made. I like the ability to open the frame and access the work space from the front. In addition this shadow box gives me the flexibility to hang it or display it on a shelf or table. I chose the light brown wood to display vintage items. Very happy with my purchase.

Wow! To have received such a beautiful and sturdy shadow box frame right in time for our wedding was awesome. It is big enough to fit both my bouquet and my husband’s boutonniere. It has been a staple piece in our home 🏠

The assembly is very poor. The hinges are clearly crooked and this had affected how straight the screw has gone in. I cannot even try to fix it myself without leaves by obvious holes and the inside of the screw head has been striped anyways. Some corners look good, others are gaping apart. Really disappointing since I paid so much for shipping to Australia. This was to be shadow box memorial for a stillborn infant, I’m really upset that this is what I received. It’s a shame as the design and materials are clearly good quality, yet the care put into assembly has ruined the overall product.
