Big Bold Numbers
I like this oven-temp device better than any other I've had. It has big black numbers that are easy to read. It also has a hook to hang it securely from one of the oven racks. It also has a foot to sit on if you want to install it that way. A little pricier than most but it's heavier, easier to read and hangs in my oven securely.

Love it!
We moved into a new house and the oven is slightly off which is a big deal with baking. I ordered a different branded thermometer and it was accurate but very difficult to read - the numbers were so small and after a few uses; you could not read it at all! I went on a search for something with good reveiws, something accurate, easy to read - believe it or not, not very many people write reviews about oven thermometers lol. So I thought, okay, I will write one. This is very large,it hooks to the grates of the stove or can sit on themIt is very easy to read the numbers are clear and bigit stays clean - I've had this for months, and unlike the last one I bought, I've never had to use degreaser on it or scrub it clean, it is just as shiny as the day I bought it.It is accurate.I love it, having bought one prior and throwing it away due to it being unreadable after less than a few months, this was just what I was looking for. Hope that helps anyone on the fence.

Accurate
This little product is great & accurate so far as I can tell. I've used it in my main (big) stove & smaller toaster oven. Works great as a backup to let you know if your ovens are off in the temp settings.

Just the basics
Got this for an oven that seemed really low; things always took almost double the bake time and were still underdone. This is an easy-to-read way to check the thermostat of the oven. It's in a rental, so not like it will be easily fixed, so the best way is to figure out about how much it's off and adjust accordingly. Love the large numbers and option to either rack sit or hang.

Hard to read dial due to large needle
I know this has very large numbers on the dial to make it easy to read through a glass door. But, those numbers are in gradations of 50 F. There are 10 marked divisions between each number, indicating 5 degree gradations. However, the needle is so big that it is at best possible to read the temperature to within 15 to 20 degrees.I have another older thermometer with similar markings but with a very thin needle. This allow accurate reading of the thermometer to 5 to 10 degrees.BTW, a comment on comparing two thermometers in the oven to compare their "accuracy".I set the oven temps from 250 to 500 F at 50 F intervals, giving the oven 15 minutes to warm up for each setting. The readings mostly were very close but occasionally differed by 10 or more degrees. However, when I let the oven cool from 450 down to 240, checking the readings every 15 minutes, the thermometers gave essentially identical readings.I interpret this to mean the thermometers were calibrated the same way, but during the heating process each thermometer had a different response rate. However, once warmed up, during cooling they behaved in a similar fashion. Another issue might have been that during heating, the red hot heater element caused some convection currents in the oven which affected the thermometers differently. I had them hung side by side in the middle of the oven, but, who knows.

Accurate oven thermometer
After frustrating experience with other brand thermometers this product appears accurate according to our baking results and it closely agrees with our oven settings. The other brands thermometers were as much as 50 degrees F off.

Accurate and easy to read
I needed an oven thermometer that I could actually read and this on by AcuRite is perfect. I have tested it against another thermometer I have (much more expensive with tiny, tiny, writing) and it appears to be acurate. I also, like the many different ways it can hang/stand in the oven.

There's nothing wrong with the product, but note the dial is Fahrenheit, not Celsius
There's nothing wrong with the product, but note the dial is Fahrenheit, not Celsius. The description talks about Celsius which is what I wanted. I didn't think to look at the photo (my fault).

Works Great
I only have one complaint .. it is too big .. if this came in two sizes it would be fantastic.. Not everyone uses a stove oven for cooking .. Some of us us toaster ovens and this is great for that but it takes up too much space as it dangles on the rack too high in the over and causes crowding.. Otherwise this is a great product and made it here in good time..
