Thick and solid
This cutting board is thicker than I expected, which I like. I've used it several times already, no issues.

Not well-finished
I agree with others. This could have been sanded better. But it still looks like good board after sanding and oiling

Size matters
The cutting board is a perfect size. I am disabled and can do more things from my chair with the board on my lap. Thank you for the option of a larger cutting board.

Rough texture
Board is not smooth, almost feels like you will get a splinter if you touch it.

Durable, perfect size/wight
Love it! I had this board for over 6 months and have used is rigorously almost daily. This is the ONLY wooden board that did NOT warp considering the watery vegetables like tomatoes and pickles I cut and don’t get to wash the board right away—maybe wash the next day. I wash it and then “season” with mineral oil AND beeswax blend. First, I lightly spay water on the board, sprinkle course sea salt all over the board, and scrub with leftover squeezed lemon halves, rinse and towel dry ( sometimes I leave it upright on the dish rack to air dry itself. I let it dry air dry 2-3 hours and then rub a blend of mineral oil and beeswax all over the board with paper towel or bare clean fingers. I make my own blend about 20-30% beeswax and 80-70% mineral oil. If you use straight mineral oil, the board will absorb too much. The beeswax helps create a bit of a thick waxy coating that helps condition the wood which prevents cracking and warping. I let that soak at least 1-2 hours before I use it. Wipe off excess if needed. I season about 1-2 times a month. The trick is to season more frequently when it is new to prevent cracking. I appreciate that this cutting board is not varnished with a clear coat. After only one cut, the varnish is going to wear off and end up in my food. Eventually will peel off after a few washes. I am glad this board is not coated with chemicals. I just bought another one for a family member.

Gets the Job Done
My expectations may have been too high for this cutting board. I was looking forward to having a wood cutting board that wasn’t as porous as some others, since teak wood is supposed to be extremely hard and dense. As soon as it got washed the grain of the wood opened up and little splinters were coming off the surface of the board. My husband sanded it down and finished it with some food grade mineral oil, but it still does the same thing every time it gets washed. It also holds onto the smell of onion and garlic badly, just like every other wood cutting board. The only thing I prefer about this one is the little moat around the edges and the handles underneath. Just wish it were higher quality, but for the price I guess you get what you get.

Useless- not worth buying
I couldn’t give a lower rating. Hence 1 star. But even if they offered it for free, I would send it back ( of course without delivery charge) . Very rough, splintering, cracks. Dealing with farberware was also useless. But customer service of Amazon was good. Never buying anything farberware.Amazon should get out from partnering with any business selling farberware products.
