One Holy Fire: Let the Spirit Ignite Your Soul

This is truly a wonderful book. It was totally inspired by the Holy Spirit to help Nicky Cruz get the message about Jesus out to the world. Nicky talks about why this world is so fragmented and broken. It is because the family is broken. If we lead our children to have a loving relationship with Jesus,they would not look to the world for answers. We need to put Jesus Christ first in our lives and our children's lives. This book should be shared with the family as a prayer meeting. Help our children know that Jesus was the one who took the punches, bruises, had his beard torn from his face, all so we would not have to. This book is too good to pass up.

This is a Christian fundamentalist preacher who really lives his faith. Famous from The Cross and the Switchblade book, he is unforgettable. In this book, Nicky Cruz tells of his life. I am so impressed by the 'holy boldness' with which he tackled everything that was hard. I bought it and gave it to my daughter who is training for ministry and now I want to buy another for me.

I give this book a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 because it consumed me. As I am reading, my heart is beating faster wanting to know what the Holy Spirit was going to do next. I too would like to see Christian denominations come together to win souls for Jesus Christ. I have read 'The cross and the switch blade ' 'Run baby run ' and this 'One Holy Fire' all three books has been such a blessing to me. I recommend these books to anyone wanting to get connected with the Holy Spirit.

'In as much as you have done it unto the least of these, My brothers, You have done it unto Me." Nicky Cruz makes you realize that cleaning up the vomit from a heroin addict who needs your help brings one far closer to YHWH and His glory than sitting in a comfortable pew listening to a sermon. Nicky and many others have had LIVES that are sermons. In this book you see up close what Yahusha meant when He said the prostitutes and tax collectors were going into Heaven before the religious leaders. It was awesome to see how one person's life can be used by the Holy Spirit to dramatically revolutionize tens of thousands of other people's lives. There are a series of "one person's" seen here. We hear of David Wilkerson leading Nicky (and only Heaven knows how many others) out of sin and abject misery into love and joy and transformed lives. (I did not realize he was also instrumental in impacting the Minister of the famed Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.) Then the Holy Fire leaps from Nicky to others who also pass it on. This is the real thing. A very convicting story.If you haven't read, or seen the movie of, The Cross and the Switchblade,chances are you will be greatly impacted by it.I used to agree with the saying, "You can catch sickness but you can't catch health." Well, now I believe that the healing of the soul from the Holy Spirit can indeed be passed on from one person to another, and in fact, we are to be willing instruments used for that purpose.

Before I make my comments:I want it to be known, I RECOMMEND this book. 4 1/2 starsI will start by saying if you have never heard of Nicky Cruz.Please read "The Cross and the Switchblade" by David Wilkerson, and then "Run Baby Run" by Nicky Cruz. Then you will have a better understanding of where Nicky Cruz came from.After having reading the other two books (I mentioned) I found this book interesting. At first I thought it sounded like a book "about Nicky" but as I continued reading on I believe it was Nicky telling his life experiences FOR THE GLORY OF GOD.Also, for the first half of the book I thought it should have been titled "The life and times of Nicky Cruz" I didn't quite get where they came up with this title "One Holy Fire..." As I read on it made more sense, though I still think the title was not the best match to the content of the book.That being said I really like the book especially knowing the past of Nicky Cruz. I felt like he was quite transparent in this book, and gave glory to God.This book, I felt, picked up excitement as you read it. The more I read it the more I enjoyed it, so don't put it down to quick.It's a remarkable story, and feel it would be good for anyone hungry for the REAL and LIVING Christ.Jim

The Church has really been becoming lukewarm. This book will give the answer to the questions you have been asking. Is there more? You better believe it. Please join other believers in reading this book and supporting Nicky Cruz as he has spent his entire Christian life reaching the lost. He goes where the church won't. His outreach has really inspired me. I'm a woman in a wheelchair and I have had the opportunity to witness to young men in gangs in my community. This book really gave me the fire I needed. If you want to stay cold or lukewarm, go ahead. God will spit you from His mouth. If you want to please God read this book, practice what it teaches you, let's take our world back for God and go Home. Thank You Nicky Cruz for the sacrafices you have made!

Nicky Cruz was given his life for the cause of Jesus Christ. The way God has used his life, has put a hunger in me to do likewise. His stories of victory and challenges are over-the-top amazing. This book will not disappoint the reader who wants more of God in their life.

Read this after The Cross and the Switchblade and Run Baby Run, in that order.

I have no doubts thats this book has been overseen by Our Lord, It is an honest account of a mans vision and drive to fullfil the Lords will, The struggles and hardships are just the tip of the iceberg, Family reality and negative comments from unbeleivers as well as from the conventional Churchs lead to not to disaster and anger but to satisfaction and confidence in knowing Our Lord is always with Us, Read and be amazed by Nicky Cruz's Later years since his acceptance Of Our Lord!

bought as a gift so cant really comment mum likes nicky cruz and this book was not to expensive seems well worth the money need confirmation from mum. nice size not to big to hold and not heavy, was well packaged and arrived early looks good and i know its a good book for christians to read
