The 3000 grit sandpaper is used by my detail service to perform headlight restoration and in some cases paint correction. I had been using 3M 02087 Trizact Hookit 3" P3000 Grit Foam Disc sold on Amazon but wasn't a fan of the cost. In an effort to reduce the overhead I tried these and was pleasantly surprised. I NOW know the price I was paying for the name 3M and have updated my ordering to reflect this product over the 3M.Certainly I wouldn't reach for these nor the 3M for large areas; however they are perfect for smaller areas and headlights. I am averaging 3 sets of headlights before having to replace the pad; however this is dependent on the condition of the headlight.If you are looking for a alternative to the 3M, this is an affordable substitute without loosing quality.

These are really nice. I bought the 2000 and 3000 for plastic headlight restoration. Begin with 800 or 1000 paper, then move up to these. And finally a plastic polish. The lenses turn out better than when new. One pad will do a pair of large headlights. And they excel at wet sanding.

Works good for refinishing headlights, but not nearly as long lasting as the 3M equivalent. Factoring in wear rate, I should have paid up for 3M.

I have found no better sanding product at the higher grits.
