True to description
These sound foam panels are true to the the product description and photos. They are about an inch at their thickest. I plan to adhere these on my home-studio’s ceiling in spots to help with sound absorption and to dampen overtones in that space. You get a lot panels in this pack— plenty to cover a large amount of wall or ceiling for whatever project you are using these for.The panels will need to slowly air out to bounce back to their original size. I chose to not use the water method and they only took a day to all expand naturally. They all appear to be evenly cut the same size.I did open these in a well ventilated room and I didn’t notice much of an odor. Some of these smell super strongly of chemicals and these, thankfully, did not.I am very pleased with these panels and they definitely meet my needs.

Not a good product.
This product has a strong smell to it. It was supposed to be 1” thick but most pieces were as flat as cardboard. I wouldn’t recommend this product.

Even after soaking and wringing, they expand to nowhere NEAR the pictured pads. Rip off. Scam. Etc.
Typical cheap crap mass produced and shipped from who knows where. This stuff is wish.com quality. That is to say, garbage. The pads are so thin they sometimes ripped when peeling them apart. The raised triangle portions are MAYBE, and I'm being friggin generous here, 1/3 the pictured height and the pad thickness is about the same.Shameful, really. Make a good product, make good money. This isn't it. Avoid.

Deadened the room, less bright. Used my own adhesive
We built our studio ourselves last year before the unpleasantness came. The building is 240sq feet and even with wall sound deadening the ceiling made the room way too bright. I do film short video segments in here so I had to do something. The preferred method was to use a 3M contact spray. I recommend the green one 97 vs the red one. Red one will hold it for initially putting it up but after a few humid days some of the tiles would start to fall off the ceiling. None of the ones I used the green 3M contact adhesive even budged (this is after 3 months). Might be a pain to get off later but Ill worry about that at another time. The sound deadening doing the whole ceiling is quite profound and noticeable. So much so that the room feels a bit too dead now. Like the highs are missing a bit. These are not sound absorbing tiles, instead their riffled pattern cuts the highs and extraneous echoes in a room. They are far too light to deaden much sound if at all.All in all I really like them and hope they last for years to come!
