Supernatural Academy: Year One

Amazing start....
I love supernatural stories especially ones written by Jaymin Eve. This was no exception. It was filled with all the macho and hot supe men and even hotter supe ladies....This is gearing up to be a fantastic tale of gods and their descendants and I can’t wait for the next book. Madison presumed to be human learnt that she was in fact a powerful supe and was introduced into the supernatural world. Having to learn about the new world starting from scratch but not without complications. She met 5 hot and handsome gods as they were known in the supe world but her attention was only for Asher the strongest and most powerful of them all. But there was so much more to uncover, so their story begins....There wasn’t a dull moment, I enjoyed every moment I spent reading this and I am diving straight into book two. Definitely worth reading....

Really enjoyable urban fantasy Academy book
This is the first in a series of urban fantasy Academy books. There is a rash of Academy books floating around Amazon at the moment, in particular Kindle Unlimited. Some have been great and others mediocre enough to make me give up after a few chapters. This makes me conflicted every time I see a recommendation. I decided to take a chance on this book because I’ve read Jaymin Eve before and enjoyed her writing style. I was fairly sure it wouldn’t be a duff book. One of the main things going for this particular book is that it revolved around NA rather than YA, a much more enjoyable genre for me. I like my characters to have grown up a little bit before they try to save the world. The MFC, Maddi has just turned 22 and is going through her birthday/New Year’s tradition of dyeing her hair a different colour. Whilst she is rinsing out her hair she is accosted by a woman who tells her that she is a supernatural and needs to go with her to an Academy so she doesn’t kill a lot of humans when she loses control.Maddi is, unsurprisingly, sceptical. She has been alone since she was 17 when her drug addicted mother was killed. She was a witness and ran in fear for her life and has moved around every 12 months ever since, never getting too close to anyone because she knew she would be moving on. Finally the woman, Ilia, throws some magic cuffs on her and tells Maddi the only they way they are coming off is if she comes to the Academy. When she arrives at the Academy she is captivated by the surroundings and eventually throws herself head first into learning about supernaturals. She never really has a major freak out about her change in circumstances and she even comments on it. It was one area I felt uncertain about, because though Maddi is a strong and independent character, learning you are supernatural has got to be a kick in the pants. From then on Maddi learns a lot, makes friends and enemies (of course) and starts to find out about herself, because no one knows what she is.There is plot a-plenty in this book and in particular I enjoyed the strong female characters and their support and friendship for each other. I also really enjoyed how Maddi and her love interest slowly got to know and trust each other as they dealt with all their problems. There is lots lined up for the coming book/s and I look forward to reading them.

A Superb read and it's only Year One!
Supernatural Academy is a spin off of the Supernatural Prison series. However this isn't like the other books where we follow characters we know. This is a brand new, sparkling, pink haired character that we're introduced to and her journey into the Supernatural world. This book was awesome. It was amazing. It is all the best bits that I love of this authors writing. The world building, the characters and the story line are perfectly created. I was hooked from the first page in and I laughed and swooned (yes there are some amazingly hot, steaming off my kindle, characters) my way through this book. It has a great new storyline to not make it feel like it's copying the original SP series, but familiarities are weaved throughout which means you don't need to of read the other series to enjoy this one. I'm looking forward to year two of the academy. This is a must read for me for any fan of academy books, supernatural characters and steaming hot guys. Some would say that if you're a fan of Harry Potter then you'll enjoy this. Yes, but think a more mature and advanced HP. Either way, I loved this book and it easily gets five shiny stars from me.

Brilliant
Another solid storyline from one of my favourite authors. Lovable characters and loads of sass from the female main character Maddie. Everyone is intrigued at the Academy she agrees to attend about what kind of super natural she is. There is a lot of going back and forth with Maddie and Asher. He cant seem to make up his mind whether he wants a friend, a one night stand or a relationship. That goes back and forth all the way through the book. So there are some sexual scenes. However the story is much more, as theres mystery and action right the way until the end. Couldn't put the book down. Highly recommended

I can't wait to read more!
Loved this book from start to finish. Most magical academy books tend to have an irritating, walking red flag of a love interest, or a heroine that acts like a five year old. I am so glad that isn't the case here, and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Especial
Pela primeira vez, um livro supernatural que eu fico apaixonada por completo: não tem muito bullying a ponto de te fazer engasgar, não tem harém reverso, e a história é envolvente e emocionante. Amei.

Are You Ready For The Year Of The Pink Hair?!
Well I'll be dammed! Don't take this as surprise coz honestly i've read too many of Jaymin's books not to be surprised by her astounding talent and the stories she weaves, she's like the flippin' goddess of storytelling. But no matter how many books this woman creates she never ceases to amaze me.It never gets old that feeling you get when you're completeley submerged in a book that you forget whats going on around you or in you. I honestly surprised myself that I was able to read this book in a day, as i honestly didn’t think I’d be able to push through with my pain levels so high and rocking a pretty bad TMJ headache but duuude I totally stand corrected. Your books Jaymin are the perfect fix. She transported me into her world without effort. From page one, ahh scratch that, sentence one, man was I a complete gonner. You just managed to help me physically read one of my first books for some time now instead of heavily relying on audiobooks. Soo yay for a win! 😀 I knew if anyone could do it would be u!!Totally loved everything about this book. The characters were totally loveable and created in a way that made you feel like you were part of their team. The chemistry of the couple whew...hot. But even that aside I loved just watching as the friendships were made and their little posse grew even more close knit. If you're after a story that has the best kind of feels in the department of family and friends coming together guys you need to give this a shot. I know you wont be disappointed.I've also gotto say I absolutely loved Maddi's character her resilience was mindblowing. She's known nothing but hardship her life was anything but easy but she hasn't let that stop her and thats something I admired and related to. To her fire and strong character. You instantly want the best for her. And so when her world was literally turned upside down...what did she do? she legit just kept on going and took everything in-stride and saw it as something hopeful. You gotto get behind a chick like that right? Also her amusing personality and out there humour is just an added bonus. You cant help but love her.I really also loved the uniqueness this story weaves, yes its still connected to the world Jaymin created in Supernatural Prison Series but it still stands out completeley on its own. Yes you can read it on its own but it does still flow on from the previously written series. Louis will pop in and out in the story and mention of the other series is brought in but it's not detrimental to the actual book itself. Just as a reader who loves Jaymin's books it allows you to make all the connections and know what's being referred to, if that makes sense. I really loved the mythology side of this book and how it was based around Atlantis, I found that really interesting and enjoyable. As Maddi would say...this is the year of the Pink Hair. And boy what a year it will be.I honestly just loved everything about this book. It was epic in a way that just continues to blow your mind and I seriously can't wait to read what comes next....Bring on the year of the ...... hair - hehe nope no spoilers from me. 😉 You're going to have to read it yourself to find out what next years colour will be. 😁Thanks Jaymin for this fantastic read it was absolutely incredibly awesome! ❤️❤️Happy Readings My Nerdy Friends 🤓
