Based on the children's books this is a really nice little puzzle, the wooden board is fairly thick and well made, there are no sharp edges or issues at all. The print around the board is really well done, it is minimalist but all the print is really nice and our daughter seems to love trying to fit the shapes into it. If I had a complaint about the board it would be that it is fairly blank when you take the animals out, a little print below might have been good, but it's a minor complaint and also down to personal preference.All the wooden pieces and chunky with bright colours and a really nice print, they are light but substantial, since this arrived our daughter has not stopped picking them up, looking at them and trying to work out the shapes, I have to give the shapes full marks. They are smooth with no sharp edges or bits of wood coming away, they are well made and the whole package feels quality.A superb little puzzle with well made pieces that our daughter loves to play with and try to fit them into the board, I think it promotes problem solving as well as having the fun factor. I think this is a great little puzzle whether you read the book to your child or not, it stands alone as a puzzle but has the extra excitement factor of helping to bring interactivity to a well known story. I highly recommend especially since everything is just really chunky and well defined for little hands.

'We're going on a bear hunt' is such an iconic children's picture book so I was excited to see what this jigsaw would be like. It's nicely made on the whole, although one piece had a slightly rough patch that had been painted over. It's attractive and the printed design is nice and clear, it just seems like the person who designed it had never actually read the book.

I absolutely love the wooden toys and this puzzle is no exception. Weve recently bought the were going on a bear hunt book, so this is a great addition. The puzzle comes cellophane sealed and in a cardboard box with a see through window, so you can see exactly what you're getting. The puzzle board is 22cm x 22cm. It feels really solid and well made. 6 chunky shape pieces and thick sturdy wood with no rough, sharp edges or splinters. All finished well, theres a painted picture on each piece and pictures on the board. All in bright colours and lovely designs. Each piece fits well in its hole, not being too tight and with a little room around the edge. It's a brilliant way to teach your little one problem solving, help develop fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. Aswell as developing the ability to recognise multiple colours and shapes. Great quality with well illustrated pieces. Perfect for both boys and girls. Would make a beautiful gift. Perfect touch for all littlss ones thats built to last.

This is a delightful puzzle. The wooden pieces and paint work are top quality. Not all toys need to be loud with flashing lights.This traditional wooden puzzle is great for calming but educational play. It's perfect for parent / guardian and baby / toddler interaction. Of course the book this is based on would compliment this puzzle beautifully. However the puzzle tells a story all on it's own and that's what makes this puzzle exciting. It allows for imaginative play as the parent can make up a story whilst empthasising the word sounds on the board as the child puts each piece in its place. It's so much fun like this and offers a great bonding experience. As an adult this puzzle may look very simple, but for a young person it's teaching them valuable skills and being further enhanced by creating imaginitive stories with each play session.A great, traditional and educational puzzle, one that is such high quality it will likely last for decades too.
