Horrible instructions
Install was super simple and straight forward. That's where the simplicity ended. The instructions tell you that you have to "select your salt cell" and after watching YouTube, I figured out which setting was the salt cell and how to change the configuration. The issue is that nowhere does it tell you which salt cell you have and which selection to make. The most common one I saw on YouTube was T-9, so I selected that but I still wasn't producing chlorine. Finally, someone on Amazon reviews gave me the correct number. I set it up and it started working perfectly.About 2 or 3 days later the pool started getting algae on the walls again and the display was reading low salt and check cell, so I took a water sample to the pool store to be tested. Salt level was perfect, but the cell wasn't producing chlorine. So, that's where I am now. I'm going to call customer service today and see if they can walk me through all of the "proper" settings and see if that's the problem. Right now I'm kicking myself for not going ahead and buying a more expensive one. Seems that when you try to save some money it always ends up costing more in the long run.Update to come.UPDATE 7/23/22: After contacting customer service, I was given the correct setting for cell selection and was told that the cell needed to be cleaned. The lady I spoke with was very friendly and gave me detailed instructions on how to clean the cell with an acid solution.I am happy to report that after following her instructions everything worked perfectly and is still working great.I would buy this again and I do recommend it to anyone looking to save a significant amount of money on a quality product.

Great replacement for Hayward Salt system
I purchased this salt chlorine generator system to replace my failing Hayward system of 8 years. At roughly half the price coupled with Amazon's excellent return policies I thought I would give it a try. Installation was fairly simple. I did have to drill an extra hole in the brick in order to mount the case since this box is not square like the hayward box. Additionally I had to change my my electrical conduit fitting to accommodate connecting from the bottom instead of the side. (A very minor task). The Salt cell itself was a perfect fit and I was able to use all my existing union connectors. Additionally, the flow sensor used the hayward plumbing and it just screwed in. I like the added touch of having the Teflon tape pre-wrapped on the sensor. I turned the system on and after a few minutes I read the instant salt reading and it matched perfectly with my electronic salt reader. For those of you installing a salt system for the first time the system comes with all the necessary plumbing connections for the salt cell and flow sensor.A serious issue occurred:My Pool is 12k Gallons and the system is rated for 25K gallons so I originally thought running the system at 60% generation for 12 hours a day should generate enough chlorine. However, after a few days I noticed that although my levels were in range, they were always reading on the low side. I monitored my readings for a few weeks and then luckily I noticed that the flow sensor would occasionally read no flow even though my variable speed pump was running at 65%. I had recently completely cleaned my filter so I knew that was not the problem. As a test I re-installed my old hayward sensor and that has solved the problem. At this point i would assume the faulty sensor (a $25 part). was the culprit. With this change the system has been running perfectly for a week now. Please note that if not for this issue I would have rated the system 5 stars.

So far so good!
Update #2: Two years and still going strong. No issues and the pool looks great. Keep your pH within range and this cell does the rest.UPDATE: It's been three weeks now and everything is still working great. I've got the percentage dialed in, and the water looks perfect. No issues with algae and the chemicals are spot on.I recently moved to a home without a saltwater pool and the chlorine/chemicals/constant testing was getting out of control. My previous pool was a saltwater pool, and all I had to do was keep the salt level within range, and the water stayed perfect. I looked at the big name generators, but didn't feel like spending well over a grand, besides, I had to replace the salt cell twice in 4 years with the Hayward. I decided to give this one a try. Installation was a breeze. Once I got the salt level correct, it started generating chlorine. I let the pump run overnight and this morning my pool is crystal clear, and the chemical levels are spot on. Time will tell if this is a good value, but it's starting off in the right direction. The build quality on the wall controller and salt cell appears to be very high.

Check Phosphates before you install
The media could not be loaded. Installed easy enough, if you can cut and glue PVC. Had it running on high for a few weeks and no chlorine. Contacted Amazon they said I had to work with the third party. No phone number or email address so I used Amazon seller contact. they proved no help so I wrote a bad review and the company called me on a private number. They had me send a water chemical analysis from a pool company and it was okay except for 0 chlorine, so they sent a new system. It still didn't work then they said the water test didn't show results for Phosphates. I have owned a pool for many years and never thought or checked the Phosphate levels. The pool guy said Phosphates might only affect an old salt cell and that I should still show some chlorine. It took a week to get the Phosphates out but the unit started producing chlorine.Over all the company was very helpful but should have insisted on a good water test before replacing or testing parts.I want to say thank you to the company and sorry for the trouble.
