Just does the job perfectly, would definitely buy again. Would also say buy the brand name and your sure of a good fit.

If like us, you have an older Hozelock reel you may well be experiencing annoying leaks from the inlet connection. In some cases the input pipe can disconnect with water going everywhere!Unfortunately, the connector that screws to the reel wears as the reel spins. Initially, it's ok to just replace the o-ring but eventually the whole connector needs replacing. For a small piece of plastic this is not cheap - but it's much less expensive that a new reel!The screw thread is 5/8 of an inch which is reasonably tricky to find. There are a couple of alternatives if you search carefully. However, IMHO, it's easier just to order this one from Amazon!Just unscrew the old connector and replace it with the new one. Don't over tighten as it can split. I find a quick spray with silicon lube keeps things working smoothly. I replace the o-ring annually....BTW. If you have a garden tap over ~40 years old with an external thread, you may find that the "common or garden" screw-on hose connectors don't fit - the 1/2 inch ones being too small and the 3/4 inch ones too big. This connector having 5/8 inch thread may well resolve your issues!
