Very good
I love this album, it has great songs, chelsea grin is amazing!Although, the shipping for this was a bit slow, things ordered from this site almost 2 weeks after this was ordered arrived before it but I can't really complain since it still arrived before the date given in the shipping details.Ths EP is very good and features the two most popular Chelsea Grin songs in iTunes, my personal favourite "Lilith" and "don't ask, don't tell", it is a little expensive for only being an EP with a few songs but it is worth it to have a physical copy.

Really good album
I've been into Chelsea Grin for a while now, but the cleans in this album just don't go well with the music and the rest of their albums. Hopefully in their newest album Ashes To Ashes they won't have cleans.

They've Lost Their Focus
I've been listening to Chelsea Grin since the time before they released "Desolation Of Eden". Back then, they had such a raw sound that couldn't be mistaken with anyone else. The first thing that caught my attention was Alex's voice. I had never heard anyone produce highs like that. They were so ugly, evil, and piercing! When "Desolation Of Eden" was released, I would listen to that album every day. My day felt incomplete without listening to at least 2 songs from "Desolation Of Eden".Then, they released "My Damnation". In my opinion, that is an "okay" album, although I did listen to it every day as well. I think they seriously overused their breakdowns. That's always a turn-off for me, especially if the patterns are simple. Also, I think the recording quality was inferior to that of "Desolation Of Eden".With this "Evolve", it is a lot more technical than their previous releases since Jason Richardson helped write some of the material, but there's something missing. One thing that is missing is originality. They've lost that original sound that made them popular in the first place. Another thing they lost is their portrayal of emotion and attitude. When I bought "Evolve", I listened to it for 2 days, then I went back to listening to their older albums. "Evolve" does absolutely nothing to grasp my attention. I am very disappointed with this release, and I feel like I wasted my money on it. Maybe they need more time to get used to Jason Richardson being on board.By the way... The recording quality on "Evolve" is just horrible! There is no balance at all. Everything sounds like it was bunched together at the last possible minute.I'm sorry, Chelsea Grin, but I'll have to give you a 2-star rating on this one. Try focusing on the original goal of the band than how many fans you're trying to gain. If you stay true to your roots, then your fans will stay true to you.One good thing I can say about "Evolve" is that the cover art is AMAZING!!! I wish I had a hoodie with that art on it.

Great Album
Many people complain about this album not being heavy enough, but I'm not sure how anyone could say that. I love their first two albums and I love this one, the guitars sound more intricate in this album and I think they truly put more effort into writing music rather than just being as heavy as possible. Only song I think they went wrong with is the very last one, but I enjoy even that one and I would recommend this album to any metal head
