Very fun in its stock configuration. Modded it to 3s lipo and now it leaves dents in the garage door lol

This gun and it's stand are big.
Thank God I had a tall box to put this into. It is definitely worth the money. It's a lot to put together, but my Grandson seemed to know what he was doing. I also bought a bag of extra Nerf Bullets. He was pleasantly surprised!

Excellent!
Wonderful! Almost returned this because it wasn’t working, turns out TWO of my brand new batteries were dead.

Loads of Fun with the Mega Mastodon Blaster!
The NERF N-Strike Mega Mastodon Blaster is an absolute blast! It's incredibly fun to play with and brings a whole new level of excitement to our NERF battles. Just a heads-up—you'll need 6 C cell batteries to get this beast up and running, so be sure to stock up. Once powered, the rapid-fire action and impressive range make it totally worth it. Whether you're a kid or just a kid at heart, this blaster is sure to provide endless fun. Highly recommended!

Best Nerf, Little Guy Loves
The Nerf gun is big. A bit heavy for a 6 year old but he can hold it and use it. Little guy has several Nerf, this is the coolest Nerf yet. Shoots 24 darts and pretty fast. We got a stand up foldable target which catches the darts for it which pairs great. Only issue so far is that the gun will jam if a dart is slightly bent. The darts are the same ones it came with are barely used so shouldn’t jam being slightly used. There is an easy open little window to quickly resolve but wish it didn’t jam as easy.

Totally useless. Totally fun.
This gun is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. It is not very accurate, not very fast, and ineffective in every way. None of that matters, however, because once you take hold of it, you feel like a god among mortals, the star of your very own action film, putting down fools and laying out justice with every comically over-sized dart. The engineer in me can go on and on about how the rate of fire is not very high and the range is not that great and the larger darts do nothing (except maybe intimidation) that a small dart couldn't do, but the kid in me can't hear him over the awesome fun that comes from firing such huge darts like a belt-fed grenade launcher. As a Nerf weapon up against other Nerf weapons, this is totally useless (like all Mega products). As a toy, a thing to have fun with and create joy, this is a 110% success.Assuming you have the cash for a second Nerf blaster (because like i said, this is totally useless in a Nerf war), ask yourself this: when you saw this gun, did you immediately that one scene from Scar Face (i.e. "Say hello to my little friend!") that everybody remembers, and/or imagine a heavy gunfire sound-effect overlaid on the Nerf motor whine with each shot? If yes, then you should get this, because life is short and fun is good for you. Also, I bet it would be great for any actual child, assuming they are A) large enough to hold it (I am 5'11" and it is almost as big as my torso) and B) not going to be up against a lot of other kids in a Nerf fight.
