A Boom bada Bing
This is a well-made, quality piece of musical equipment. It fits a standard mic stand, and standard microphone clips. It retracts to a conveniently short length, and extends to a reasonably long size, but a few inches shorter than a typical one-piece boom. The locking mechanisms are solid, and work very well to allow the boom to be moved, yet stay where it is put. It is lightweight, and a very useful addition to my gear. I like it.

Rock-Solid Boom Extension for Live Gigs
I’ve been using the AirTurn Telescoping Boom Extension for a few weeks now in live performance settings, and it’s great. The steel construction gives it a solid, professional feel — it stays exactly where I position it, even when holding a heavier mic, I believe the description that says it can hold a tablet too. Setup is quick and intuitive. I really appreciate how stable it is on stage — no sagging or shifting mid-set, which is a common issue with lighter-weight arms. I also like that the company is headquartered in Colorado. This also folds down small enough to fit in my gig bag. I have more expensive boom arms and they aren’t any better than this.

Thread on End Too Small
The advertised "Standard 5/8-27 mic thread" on the end of the pole is actually just a shy too small, and I don't think it's actually a 5/8-27 size (or the threads aren't prominent enough). None of my standard microphone clips or holders fit (they are too loose), making this boom pretty much useless. EDIT: The manufacturer reached out to me and apparently the issue with the thread was a known issue that was fixed, however it seemed that Amazon might’ve had old stock, which was shipped to me. They sent a replacement arm and the thread issue has indeed been addressed. I’m changing my review to 4 stars, mainly for the customer service. The arm itself is made of sturdy metal with a great weight and seem to be of good quality. I’m anxious to put it through its paces.

Nice budget boom arms.
The AirTurn telescoping boom extension paired perfectly with my ceiling mount setup. I attached it to the OnStage flange mount to create overhead mic positions for my drum kit, and it worked exactly how I hoped. The extension feels solid and well-built, with no flex or wobble once everything is tightened down. The telescoping design is super convenient. It makes dialing in mic placement easy without having to constantly reposition the base mount. Once set, it stays put and holds microphones securely, even at full extension. This is a great solution if you need extra reach from a mic stand or permanent mount. It feels sturdy and gives you a ton of flexibility for positioning.

Bought to go with the compact mic stand. They work great together and very compact. Again great for travelling, but not for regular gigs.

unreliable..the thread part that holds the mic no longer stays put and you cannot thread in a mic to stay secure. it would fall to the sides since the thread head is no longer fixed to 1 position
