Fun decor
I'll be honest, I don't actually know how these work as drum sticks. But they worked really well in my display for 12 drummers drumming. I love that there are so many colors, and the kids loved them. (Probably not so much for the parents.) Definite recommend just for the fun decor.

BEST THING FOR SPECIAL ED CLASSROOM!
I am a private nurse with a kiddo in a special education classroom. Sometimes I am bored to death. When I asked the teacher to play some clean but adult music the kids LOVED it! We used some kiddie musical instruments one day and they all had fun but when I saw "my" kiddo with the drumsticks I knew we needed more. i bought 10 pairs of these and OH BOY! Even the most disengaged students participated in music time! These are affordable, they offer the kiddos a choice of colors and they are the absolute BEST THING for holding all of our attentions! WIN!

Hold up well for play drums
I can't attest to how these would hold up to serious play, but they have held up really well to a curious toddler (now Kindergartener) and a small drum kit. They have been used on everything from toy drums and xylophones to a real snare drum, and make decent sound. They have also held up against whatever imaginary game the kids have played with them.

Durability
Wonderful, colorful and very durable.They are being used by an eight year old drummer every day still going on strong. By the way it is not used on drums only, but on all hard surfaces.

Thinner than I expected
I thought the size would be a little thicker. We wanted to use them for pound workouts but they are not the same quality as a ripstick. They don’t make the same sound so we were disappointed. The colors are bright and easy grip.
