Excellent for cutting in but does leave some brush lines.
We were decorating our lounge and there was a lot of cutting in to do. I’m a fairly accomplished painter but I had to cut in a dark colour against a light colour around the fireplace and felt it would be good to get a brush designed for cutting in to help me. I ordered two of these and I’m pretty pleased I did. I found them easy to use. You need to lead with the shorter edge dragging the longer bristles behind. The paint loaded fairly well and I was able to cover a two foot length before reloading. The brushes didn’t lose any bristles whilst painting but did shed a few when I was washing them so not a major issue. The only thing I found was they did leave brush lines. To over this I used a normal good quality brush for the second coat and didn’t go right up to the line and this got rid of the brush strokes. These were good value for money and definitely made cutting in easier and have washed really well. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them in the future and would recommend them. If you are not experienced in painting it’s probably a good idea to practice first before attempting a final finish. The more I used them the better I got.

Don't know how I managed without one!! Great brush
Brilliant brush, don't know why I never invested in one before, as you can see from my pictures I cut in along the top of the walls & down the sides & I was really impressed with myself. I did try masking tape to separate the grey & purple but it pulled the paint off hence why I bought this brush & it covered it amazingly, definitely reccomend

Great brush, easy to use.
Wish I had bought this before I started decorating! It is so easy to use and you get a nice clean line just where you want it. If I had bought it earlier I would have completed painting in half the time!

You won't be dissapointed
I've painted three rooms with one of these (plus rollers), cleaning it between uses, and would expect it to do many more. Not one bristle fell out, it was the perfect brush, not just for cutting in.The only downside is that it's a little streaky, but if you get a thin microfibre roller (9") then you can quickly go over the area and smooth the streaks out (whilst still wet).I used to buy a pack of cheap brushes and discard them after each room, but there's no need with a good brush like this one.

Brilliant for edges
I’ve always used mediocre brushes and masking tape before and I only paint when I have to. Was advised to get a decent brush and a few people mentioned Harris. At first the edging wasn’t great but once you get used to it you’ll never go back to the old way or to cheap brushes. Have stocked up with a set of Harris brushes. They’re worth it and so much easier to clean than other brushes too. Saves so much time not using masking tape!
