1920's vampire slayer-contains mafia, vamps, Irish hunk and a kick ass heroine!
Loved this book! Highly recommend!May 1926, Chicago "The tunnel was pitch black an endless. Macey Denton couldn't see anything, including the stake in her hand...the air smelled like rot...and unadulterated evil"What a great finale in Macey's journey as a gardella! Be prepared to feel a variety of emotion throughout Macey's journey with appearances from lively characters from the other 2 books. If you have read the gardella series then don't miss out on this book. It is so hard to review and praise a book without giving away spoilers. In Roaring Dawn, our Macey's decisions that she made in the last book are wonderfully explored. The author certainly knows how to take the journey through a rollercoaster of emotions. Macey tries to live with her decision of trying to protect Grady. No great vampire story is ever complete without that evil bloodsucker who you want to see die a painful death and of course characters that make you laugh and feel like you wish you had someone like that in your life!**** warning may contain some spoilers*****Macey is preparing herself for a final showdown with the evil Nicholas Iscariot whom she barely escaped from in the last book. Not only that, but she now has the guilt of her best friend turning into a damned souless vampire. Can they ever truly be friends again? Then there's the lovable head gardella Max Denton who is actually Macey's dad who was meant to be dead for 13 years popping back into her life. He literally waltzes through the door just as Macey is trying to blow off some steam...talk about awkward! So just as fast paced and action packed as always!Well Done Colleen, I have a sneaking suspicion that you have written a somehow introduction to gardellas in the Elizabethan court?! Please say yes!
