Sun Savvy Solar Shield Facial Sunscreen

I was a little unsure about this moisturizer at first because when you first put it on, it leaves a white film on your face, but that quickly disappears and it works great! It's not too oily and it doesn't smell like sunscreen. It wears just fine under makeup. I am 33 and had skin cancer last year so I've been looking for a while for something that provides the protection I need with the right ingredients and doesn't smell like sunscreen since I wear it every day. This stuff works great! I found it on the Environmental Working Group website because it was rated one of the 26 best moisturizers with SPF. It has both zinc oxide and titanium dioxide in it, which are tough to find in a facial moisturizer. Love it!

I found this product on the EWG best list of SPF moisturizers. I probably should have looked at the specs more closely because this product is only 95% effective with an SPF of only 20. But compared to the rest on the list, this seemed the best bang for the buck. I don't have a problem investing a lot of money for anything that protects/prevents cancer, but this is just too pricy for what it's worth. I honestly have no idea why this product even made the list. Even though it's only an SPF 20, it feels very thick and it slides out of the container too easily so that you end up squeezing out too much. The "seal" comes off very easily too and makes you think twice about sanitation. Probably the only reason I didn't give it less than 3 stars is because it doesn't have a lot of active ingredients compared to most brands.

I found Dermagenics through the Skin Deep database, like a lot of people. I have been using this product for about a month and it is excellent. It doesn't clog my pores, I haven't had a single breakout. It also works. I spent 9 days in the Caribbean and people didn't think I went to the beach because I barely have a tan. This may not be the goal for some people but it is for me, to not tan and therefore avoid wrinkles as much as possible! I use this product everyday at home too. My only complaint, and it's a big one, is that there is little "slip" of the product. So when you're rubbing it into your face you're rubbing too hard. This worries me too (wrinkles again). So I mix a little kukui nut oil with it so it glides. I'm sure this isn't recommended but it works for me. Also, pricetag is high, but it seems like this will last me a long time.

I bought this sunscreen because it was so highly rated in all of the important categories. It really does work very well. It is amazing in that it just seems to lay on the top of the skin without causing any breakouts or irritation. I think it works well to block out the sun, and I don't notice it at all after the first few minutes. I would definitely recommend it to a friend (with a large wallet).....

I purchased a tube recently and its absolutey greasy and sticky. Its hiddeous. Do not buy!!!! Be warned CVS has better cheap sunscreen!!!!

I was looking for a sunscreen that wasn't too heavy or filled with chemicals and was non-comedogenic. After this made the EWG's list of top sunscreens, I decided to give it a try and wasn't disappointed. Goes on easily and does the job as a sunscreen.

Best face sunscreen ever used hands down. Used every day this summer and never clogged my pores. A bit thick going on, but instantly disappears after a few seconds. Very very good product. Just wish it was cheaper!
