Authentic & Tom Yum soup right at home! Easy to make & delicious right out of the package. Can easily get two meals out of this. Due to digestion issues, i kept mine simple and added fresh cilantro, lime juice and had it with a side of steamed white rice. It would def make a heartier meal by adding veggies, seafood, and or meat. I found i didn't need to add anything else for flavor, the taste was delish before adding anything to it, just really a matter of preference. It does have a kick to it, but still very enjoyable. I wish more soups would taste this good straight from the package.

This is an excellent product. Tastes like the soup in a Thai restaurant.

tasty but really HOT

I'm retired now, but I was a chef for 30 or so years and I could not tell the difference between the soup I made from the Tom Yum paste and what I have had many times in Thai restaurants. I had some home made chicken stock, but I'm pretty sure it would be just as good with canned stock. Add in what you want: traditional or non-traditional. I had chicken, mushrooms, zucchini and red peppers in mine and I'll be serving it soon to friends. I'm not sure that I'll tell them that all the flavor comes in a package I get from Amazon!

Lived in LA for years and really enjoyed access to many outstanding restaurants. Whenever one of us got sick and stuffed up, we would order Tom Yum for delivery from our favorite Thai place.Now I live in the back end of nowhere. I bought this product when I was so sick and miserable. The package instructions were easy and the flavor! ah! the smell was intoxicating. VERY SPICY HOT. So I ordered three packs. So Happy!

Tastes a lot like spicy, salty water so perhaps replacing some required water with low sodium chicken broth would help. I’ve had frozen Tom Yum soup that was excellent and inexpensive but the store that carried it (Lidl) no longer does. This product is not a very good substitute, in my opinion, for fresh or frozen Tom Yum.
