Good pouches...not perfect, but good
I really like the idea of having my own pouches to fill and re-use, but these aren't as great as I was hoping. I rinse them out after using them and put them in the dishwasher, but if there is any food or particles left in the pouch, but dishwasher just ends up pushing them further into the corners of the pouch instead of getting them out. My bottle brush is too big for the opening so I may try getting a smaller one and wash them by hand. Also, I found one of the pouches was leaking fluid from the zipper top. Not a lot, but enough that it was noticeable. Other than those issues, they have been good. Haven't had/used them that long so I'm interested to see how durable they are.

Hard to fill and clean
My daughter loves eating food out of pouches, but they are really expensive. I thought these would be a nice way to save money and allow us to use food we had made or to pour the jar of food that she is refusing into a pouch (it works every time). These work well. The spout is just like one you would get from the store. However, these are really hard to fill. The top is a ziplock and the opening is very narrow. I would recommend buying another brand that has the opening on the back. These are also hard to clean. The dishwasher can't get them clean, even though they are dishwasher safe. You have to use a bottle brush, again because the opening is too small.

Closures unseal from the pouch
My original review is below - I had given these 4 stars. But after about two weeks of use, 3 of the 6 pouches are now broken. The double closure at the top of the pouch is incredibly difficult to open, yet the actual mechanism seems very poorly sealed to the pouch. At first one came unsealed and I thought my husband was being too rough with it. But now 3 of the 6 are broken, one by me, and I know I was gentle with it. So, sadly, I will not purchase these again, and my son is infatuated with drinking out of pouches, so I'll have to order something more expensive.Original review:My toddler has become OBSESSED with those overpriced applesauce pouches, so rather than fork over fifty cents or more for 3 ounces of the stuff, every time, we got these pouches. I figured I'd fill them with more economical applesauce, yogurt, smoothies, etc. They just arrived two days ago and I've only had the chance to use them once. I filled a pouch with one of his toddler yogurts, that normally I'd spoon-feed him. He DEVOURED it. Saved me time and mess, he got the satisfaction of feeding himself, win win. Normally he doesn't finish a yogurt because he gets bored with me feeding him, or he spits it all over, or does it himself, flinging yogurt all over. Really happy to have found this solution. The only negative - these things are HARD to open (as they should be... don't want kids prying them open). So hard to open that my husband ripped the zipper right off one trying to open it. Don't put them in the sink til you've opened them - once they're wet it's utterly impossible. Also, once they are open, the openings still aren't very wide, so they are a challenge to fill without spilling. I'm very happy with the purchase otherwise and we're going to order a 2nd set so we can pouch up lots of different foods and have several days' supply ready to grab and go.

Overall good, but a few issues
I bought these to send with my 1 year old daughter to the babysitter. She looooves feeding herself but the spoon is just too messy right now.I love that these are dishwasher safe. We haven't had any problems with them, just stick them over the prongs on the top rack and throw the lids in the silverware basket. My daughter loves them, also. She gets excited when she sees them and it took her no time at all to figure out the mechanics of it.Two things keep me from giving this product 5 stars: 1. They say they are 6 ounces, but in reality they are more like 4. In order to leave enough room to zip it up at the top, a 4 ounce yogurt pretty much fills the pouch. Try to fill it with anything more and it squishes out the top when you try to zip. 2. They are kind of messy/hard to fill. A stand up bottom would have been helpful as you really need three hands: One to hold the pouch open, one to hold the container of whatever you are scooping, and one to hold the spoon over the pouch opening.

So much fun!!!
So fun!! I love being able to make my own food pouches for my daughter! Some people mentioned that these are difficult to fill, and I can see why they feel that way, so I'm going to try to explain how I fill these to hopefully make it a little easier and more fun for everyone else. First, I turn on some music that my daughter and I can dance and sing to. With the cap on the mouth spout, I open the pouch and blow into the top of it in order to expand the pouch as far as possible. Using a soft silicone funnel, I insert the funnel in the top of the pouch and hold the pouch and funnel with one hand (I have small hands so if I can do it, so can you...I put the mouth spout between my middle and third finger with the pouch in my palm and hold the funnel with my thumb and forefinger). Then I spoon the pureed food into the funnel. I like the food a little thick which doesn't pour through the funnel on it's own, so this is where the music comes in handy. Once I get a good amount of food in the funnel, I hold onto it and the pouch with both hands and do a little dance to the music in order to help the food go through the funnel. My daughter thinks this is great and giggles the whole time! And she LOVES the penguins on these pouches too. Oh, and btw, the best way I have found to clean them is with a bottle brush. They do go in the dishwasher, but I feel like the bottle brush is more thorough. Anyway, instead of getting frustrated with these pouches, have fun with it and it will be much easier! My only complaint would have to be the placement of the spout, but I found that almost all the reusable pouches are the same. Thanks for reading, and I hope my experience with these pouches helps!
