Relief for Travellers
its a good compromise for travel. i considered buying the mattress topper, possibly cutting it in half and trying to shove that into a suitcase, but I'm glad i didn't, TravelSet is thinner and shorter and the roll it makes is big enough to take up half of a suitcase as it is (the carry bag is useless as the strap broke when I added a few extra items to it). It compresses under pressure too, so I put it inside the hard shell suitcase with my regular items and check the whole thing in. Even outside of its case I believe Its still too big to take as your carry on, I'll have to measure it. Anyway, it works well on the floor and fantastic on top of a bed or sofa. It is expensive but you have to pay for quality. I haven't tried washing the liner yet that seems to be a gripe among the others. I think i can get over that by putting a sheet over it if i have to, or tarp beneath it when camping.

Good mattress, poor bag
Excellent portable memory foam mattress with just enough firmness and depth for a comfortable sleep in most conditions, but light enough for easy storage and some types of travel.Although this is a travel set, it is not the most travel-friendly. It's fine for travel by car or camper, but most people will find it too large and cumbersome for air or rail. Also, the wheeled bag is extremely flimsy -- especially the zippers. I bought two of these, and both bags broke after only a few uses.Ideal use cases:- Extra guest bed that you can easily store in a closet when your guest leaves, or bring with you if you are the guest. It's perfectly fine to use directly on the floor.- Memory foam topper for hotel bed (when traveling by car)- Camping in an RV during warm weather- Sleeping on the floor while waiting for your furniture to be delivered- Deployment, for added comfort on top of whatever horrible spring mattress or cot they expect you to sleep onLess than ideal for:- Tent camping. The mattress will will absorb any condensation or moisture in your tent.- Cold weather camping. The foam is hard as a brick in the cold. However, it softens as it warms up from your body heat.- Traveling by airplane or train. It's quite large and probably not worth the hassle, especially if you have other bags to manage. Also, the provided bag will not hold up to regular travel.

All of the other reviews are true but....
It took me a while to commit to buying this because of some of the reviews about it being too hard, plus it is pretty expensive. However, I needed something. I bought this because my SO and I have a bed that is too old and sinks in, hurting my back every night. I tossed and turned waking him up just trying to get comfortable. So, I needed something firm until we commit to a new mattress. My first night was painful because it was so hard. However, I wanted to give it more of a chance (plus I am too lazy to dig it out from under the fitted sheet). As I continued to use it I found that this thing formed to my body and I am sleeping better each night. It really only took a couple days to get used to it. But I am sleeping so much better and I am so glad I got it.

Hard as a rock
Not a fan at all. We have a Tempurpedic mattress and absolutely love it so much it’s hard to travel and sleep in other beds. Bought this to solve that problem but it’s literally like concrete, nothing like our mattress. Such a bummer.

Not practical for air or train travel
The 1.5 inch thickness and 28 inch width are great. The 79 inch length is too long for a short person. More importantly, it is too large and heavy for air and train travel. It rolls up very large and the rolling duffel is equivalent to a large suitcase. It would be great for an RV, or car travel if there's room for the duffel. The pillow is fine even though it is not very wide.

Game Changer
I travel for work sometimes and was considering giving up the side job because I can never stay gone without coming home with severe back pain. I have taken this item on two four night trips and it feels like I slept on my temperpedic bed at home. Great purchase for me and my back.

Helps with the pain
This item has helped me to be able to sleep on those horrible hotel beds. It’s not super soft but definitely took away a good amount of my back pain and helps me get some sleep while away
