Roanoke Mystery
I was looking for a book for my 12 year old grandson on the Roanoke disappearances his class was studying in school. Most of the books I perused were really for older children or adults. However, I did find a well-made and colorful booklet that told the Roanoke story in a comic book way. It was LIKE a comic book with speech bubbles and colorful illustrations, but was printed on quality paper and bound nicely. It gave the child the information on the event without too many details that might be overwhelming to his age group. All in all, he enjoyed it and shared some information with his fellow students.

Highly recommended
I love these books. I'm constantly looking for interesting nonfiction texts for my classroom. These are perfect for my third graders and they can not get enough of them. Kids are constantly coming up to me and telling me new facts that they have learned from the books in this series. Great for science, reading, social studies, history, vocabulary, etc. Highly recommended!

My kids loved it
I am a teacher of 3rd and 4th graders, and after we learned about the lost colony of Roanoke, I had them do a creative writing assignment about what they think happened to Roanoke. Afterwards, I found this book and the kids fought (verbally) about who was going to read it first. It has made its rounds in the classroom, and has been re-read several times.

The kid's don't they're learning!
My 5th graders love these books, and so do the 5th grade teachers. They fool them into thinking it's a comic, when it's really history! Fantastic, would recommend the entire series of these and the biography ones they do as well.

I am a teacher and my students absolutely love these books
I am a teacher and my students absolutely love these books! I would give them 5 stars, but they are cheaply made and pages start falling out after only a small amount of use.
