Best blade for cutting steel
The blade is balanced and accurate, the only thing that i find as a negative is the price (in 3 months the price has almost 50% increased!). In this price tag i am a bit sceptical. I am using it on a Bosch GCD 12 JL.

Full time welder/fabricator.
Like anything from makita, they work brilliantly.. As far as it going blunt after 2 dozen cuts of 40 box, That person must have been really forcing it through the steel, making it get too hot and in turn blunting the teeth far too quickly. Like any saw you use, You must let the saw do the cutting, steady downward pressure and the blade lasts a very long time. I bought 2 blades back in December and I have only just finished using the second one, that's one blade every 3 month, and I'm a full time welder/fabricator that uses the chop saw everyday, and I have made hundreds of cuts with each blade, cutting everything from 3mm flat bar up to 16mm solid square bar, and they performed floorless.. I could continue to use the blades but they are at the point of me having to force them through the material, and as anyone knows a blunt blade is a dangerous blade..
