A down to earth sleuth
Charles Paris, down trodden, alcohol loving, struggling actor. Always seemingly at loggerheads with his agent, Morris, and living with his ex wife. Always unwittingly stumbling across murders and solving the crimes. Excellent tales,and brilliantly written. The icing on the cake is of course, Bill Nighy, perfectly cast with with his usual superb acting. So, if you like a crime drama with humour in abundance, then look no further. Would still be great even if you remove the crime and just appreciate hearing Charles staggering through his existence , tripping over the wreckage of his life. EXCELLENT STUFF!
