bought as a gift and then found out that my person only needed two saki cups so returned it and purchased another one. It was very nice but could not use it

The packaging was great! The package was a nesting-doll of cardboard boxes and Styrofoam - but nothing was broken so I couldn't complain. The quality of the pottery is good, and the finish is better. This is actually hand done, not machine painted. If I had to criticize it in any way, I'd point out that the cups don't stack (whatever) and there was one tiny spec of dust underneath the glaze in an inconspicuous place on the decanter. That's nitpicking though; these are seriously fantastic.

Trying Sake for the first time was much akin to boiling a child produced from the unholy union of rubbing alcohol and sulfuric acid, then tossing that demonic offspring down my now eternally-offended gullet. My exquisite sake urn and cups are used to gracefully, peaceably imbibe various flavors of sanctified vodka, like a sane, non-masochistic adult greater than 21 years of age. 😇

I was disappointed that this product was not made in Japan.

I love how thick these Japanese Sake kit sets are. The painting is beautiful light grey to dark black tips of the sake and sake glasses. It completely looks handmade giving it a delicate but beautiful look and very traditional feel. It handles hot sake very well and drinking from them was very nice. The inside of the glass is white which was unexpected. Each piece has a grainy texture to it but has a shiny soft touch coat giving it a beautiful sleek look. The bottle itself has indents that make pouring the sake a lot easier and the tip gives it an easy spill. This is perfect for my setup but could make an exceptional gift to those who love the Japanese culture or traditional items. I definitely recommend this set. Thank you!

I prefer pottery sake sets so you can warm the drink in hot water and keep it warm. Of course in summer there's nothing like chilled sake but the rest of the year warm sake is really pleasant.

Beautiful set for 4. The glaze and colors are so elegant and modern. Great quality. Will order another matching set for sushi dinner parties. Also arrives in a gorgeous package for gifting. Recommended!

This is exactly as advertised and very nice when drinking Sake. I would highly recommend and shall enjoy using the Sake set along with other Sake drinkers when they visit..
