Dove Men+Care Face Care Post Shave Balm, Sensitive 3.4 oz

After further investigation and talking with the company, Dove, I am here to inform everyone that Dove has decided to discontinue this product in 2018. Therefore it will no longer be sold by retailers and also the supply on Amazon won’t be restocked unless Dove decides to the bring the product back into its product line.

Okay, here's the deal. This is my current favorite post shave balm. It is wonderfully odorless and leaves my face feeling as good as with  Neutrogena Post Shave Balm . The consistency is less runny than the  Nivea Post Shave Balm , and truly makes your face feel cool. I did apply the Dove post shave balm a second time to my chin and upper lip, because those areas usually feel hottest.I now prefer the Dove first, then Neutrogena, then lastly Nivea. Some people complain about the squeeze bottle, but honestly it makes sense to have a bottom cap unlike the other two balms. If you accidentally squirted too much, hit your ashy elbows and be merry. This Dove post shave balm will make your face feel cool, soft, and smooth all day long!I suppose it's worth mentioning other products in my current shaving regimen. I prefer  Wilkinson Sword  blades, because they are a hair less insane than the Japanese Feathers.  Proraso  clearly makes the best pre-shave cream and is worth the money. Shaving creams to me don't matter that much. I like the smell of the original Barbasol right now, but Gillette makes a nice lemon lime shaving cream as well.If you have tried either the Nivea or Neutrogena post shave balms, do yourself a favor and get a bottle of Dove. You will not be disappointed. I bought this in an effort to try the most current popular lotions in searching for the best for me. I can honestly say that Dove makes the best one so far!

This is the best after-shave balm I have ever used. Tried balms made by Gillette and Nivea. The Hydrate version of this Dove for Men after-shave balm is by far the best. It is soothing for my skin, has a pleasant scent, comes in an easy to use container, and is an exceptionally good value. I wish it were sold in stores, but buying through Amazon is OK. My guess is that balms are more popular in countries outside the US.

I used to use this stuff for years, and was always happy with it. It worked well, hydrated my skin well, and helped keep razor bumps or minor irritation down. The smell was good, but similar to many other products; many of the different brands of post-shave moisturizer smell the same (or very, very similar) to me. The Dove product absorbed well, and did not leave my skin feeling oily or "coated in something". I had no real problems with it; I just kind of moved on to try other products, but I would really have no problem going back to this product and using it again (and may do so).

I used to suffer from a bit of shaver rash / burn and ingrown hairs and this balm has really helped with that. It doesn't have a strong scent (which I like) and it's absorbed really quickly, so it doesn't leave your skin feeling wet or greasy. I haven't tried other creams to see how they compare, because this one pretty much did the trick and it's relatively inexpensive. The one slight negative is that there's quite a bit left in the bottle when it stops coming out - but you can pop the top off and get another couple of weeks of balm out of it with a little bit of work. Yes, I am frugal :-)

My husband was so frustrated when I couldn’t purchase this in any retail store after buying it for several years at a major retailer. He tried other brands but didn’t like anything I found. It occurred to me to search on Amazon and BINGO! I subscribed so he will never be without. He loves how it feels on his face and I love the way it smells. ❤️

Tried this on a whim and have since ordered another one after I came close to running out.I no longer use any other lotion or shave balm of any kind. Even if I don't shave one day, I use this to moisturize my face.The scent is really enjoyable and certainly not strong. Has a 'clean' smell to it.The bottle itself can be difficult at times to get the exact amount you want out of it, but after a few tries I didn't have any issues. It does make the area around the cap a bit dirty since the excess is getting caught up in there (and it's on the bottom, so any extra will run into the cap area). I tend to clean that out every few days so I'm not getting chunks of dry balm on my face.This hasn't irritated my skin in anyway (usually very sensitive), and although it doesn't immediately calm razor burn (what does?), it leaves my face smooth and never looks oily. I'll keep buying this as long as they keep making it.

Very comfortable for the face--no stinging and does not have a strong smell. Works great for sensitive skin.

This stuff is still awesome. Why dove took it off their shelves in Canada is still a mystery to me. And now we have to pay basically $20 each which is crazy… but still worth it. Buy it. It’s great

Same as the one we used to buy in the store but can no longer find. This is much more expensive then in the store but if you like this "Hydrate" item...this is great!

I find this balm to be the best of it's type. Seems to have been discontinued in the UK for some strange reason. Luckily you can still get it via USA easily from Amazon. Now works out about twice the price that it cost when readily available here but still worth it.
