5 stars. Not too hot. Perfect for me
Great Harissa sauce. I used in a Mediterranean salmon/chickpeas/tomato bake and was delicious. It’s a mildly spicy harissa sauce without the “heat”. Great if you want Mediterranean flavor but don’t like or can’t eat hot spicy foods. Recommend.

nice harissa
Love this harissa. I use it in soup and will be using it for salmon tonight. Wish it was a little cheaper or the jar was bigger.

Less spicy than ketchup, still delicious.
As a Southeast Asian American, I am not a person who shies away from food that would blister the mouths of most Americans, but since I do know people who refuse to tolerate even small amounts of flavor in their food, I thought I would give this product a try, as a test. It has often been my experience that many global cuisine products that market themselves as "Mild" are actually fairly spicy, but that is not the case with Zwïta Mild Harissa. It has less capsaicin in it than Heinz Ketchup. However, it still manages to be very flavorful. The consistency is definitely more paste-like than sauce-like, but it's chunky, with seeds, not ground fine like tomato paste. The flavor is good, but different to other brands of "harissa" marketed in the US—harissa has diffused widely throughout North Africa and the Levant, and each regional cuisine does it a little differently, so pinning down "authentic harissa" means different things to different people; a Moroccan harissa may be different to a Tunisian harissa may be different to a Libyan or Algerian harissa.Zwïta's take on Mild Harissa is light on the spices (coriander seed* and caraway seed), which allows the taste of the chiles, garlic, and olive oil, and the tartness of the vinegar, to shine. I also ordered the "Smoky" version, which is billed as "medium heat", but I have yet to crack that jar. I will be ordering the "Spicy" version, next, as I think that will probably suit my taste buds more. I may end up mixing all three jars together to balance out the flavors. If I have a criticism, it is that the label does not specify a product origin. If it is made in the US or Tunisia, one might think the company would be proud to tout either origin, as they are openly proclaiming it is a Texas-based company run by two Tunisian American brothers. I give it four stars, mainly because I think the price is a bit high for the amount you get, though it is certainly not out of line with other "gourmet" products in the market.* coriander leaf is known as cilantro in the US, and so there is sometimes some confusion, and many people intensely dislike the flavor of cilantro. I am one such person, and I detect no flavor of cilantro in this product.

So good!!!!
My first time using harissa paste. I never wanted to get it because I thought it would be too spicy. Then I found this mild one and it is delicious. Very flavorful without the heat. I made creamy harissa beans and it was soooo good! Even the family enjoyed it! Very happy with my purchase.
