This turner is sturdy and solid. It was made with polished stainless steel which is great for cooking. It is very well manufactured. Not counting the handle, it was made from one piece of stainless steel so there are no seams, making it easy to clean. The frontal edge has the metal going pointy in a sharper thiner layer (not sharp enough to cut your fingers) to better lift the food from the frying pan. This sharper layer can cut the food if it is not hard. This is also good to cook food in a grill or to take things out of the oven when they are hot, like cookies, individual cakes, small breads, patties and pasties.Despite its obvious quality, this item is not for me. The height of the item is about 3 cm, so the degree of inclination is not enough for what I want. My arms are long and I need a turner with enough angle to be manageable. This one is too flat. I have a flat one but it is small and easier to handle. If you have a tall frying pan like me or a cataplana (similar to a wok), it is hard to move it around. I know there are tools specifically made for woks but I don't use it often, so it is not justifiable to buy one of those. Besides, I want a multitask tool to occupy less space in the drawer. Also, I bough it to use it as a skimmer to lift fish and meat when boiled, and again it is not sufficiently angled for that. My friend, who has shorter arms, used it and she loves it. She can do anything with it.To me, the Fissler Original Profi has the perfect angle to use as I want to and is much more manageable for someone with very long arms.
