...nothing really ends, as we learn in this mystical, moving account of a man raised Catholic who became a passionately devoted Hindu. We are a soul with a body, not the other way around, he says more than once. That he passed away from Covid before the book was published (but not before seeing a galley version) is wonderful and heartbreaking. He knew his story had been told. But I would have loved to have had him sign my copy and take a selfie! I'm sure his faith helped him in his transition to another form of energy. Many spine-tingling stories and enlightenments in this easy read. It will have you thinking about your own relationship to devotion.

Insightful. Spiritual Journey. Devotion. Purpose. I never really understood Bakti Yoga or why the devotion to statues as God. Shruti Ram offers his story, and through this journey, I began to understand this way of connecting to the divine through chant and devotion. It is always interesting to learn various ways of spiritual growth and ways to live. The people and timeline were of people born the decade before me, so I related to the people he spoke about sharing his journey. Ram Das and other's stories were intertwined with his and offered an inside walk into their worlds too. A good read.

If you love reading inspirational biographies of extraordinary people who have committed their life to God, this book is for you...The title might not grab you...perhaps you are used to thinking of Ram as an animal with horns...here it is not...In this case, Ram is a Sanskrit name for God.This is such an enjoyable read. I am thankful that Sruti Ram and his helpers finished this lovely book before he passed on. Thank you. Thank you. And Ram bless Sruti Ram!
