Included Components | About Us Rust-Oleum was founded on the principle of creating innovative products. And, after 100 years, we're just getting started! In 1921, sea captain Robert Fergusson noticed that fish oil prevented rust from forming on his ship’s metal deck. Working with a chemist, Fergusson developed one of the world’s first rust-preventive paints and Rust-Oleum was born. |

Quick and easy floor upgrade
The media could not be loaded. I painted my outdated tile to give my floors a quick and easy upgrade. This isn’t a long term solution, but it’s been over a year and the floors still look great. You’d never guess they were painted! I get tons of compliments from guests. Very happy with how this project turned out. I do highly suggest not steering away from the instructions and to trust the process. It takes a while for the paint to dry but you really don’t want to be impatient with it!

Not really matte
I’ve used both gloss and this matte top coat and in all honesty, the difference isn’t THAT great. It’s definitely not MATTE but rather more of a semi-gloss. The durability however is impressive. I did my bathroom floor over 2 years ago and it’s still holding strong. Here’s another cool tip, you could use any other paint of your choice before top coating. I first painted the floor with Step 1 of this product, then went over with a regular acrylic wall paint, then with chalk paint over that, distressed it and only then Step 2 clear coat. Turned out awesome and no trouble with anything pealing away

Worked great in my bathroom
***** year update!!! Looks just like it did when I first painted it. I don’t use harsh chemicals I mop with pine sol still no peeling no fading. Looks brand new! It is all in the prep! Just do it <3*******I sanded down and deep clean my linoleum floors used this whole brand from primer to finishing top coat. It has been a week and no issues if they do rise or peel or scratch I will post a review in a year with an update. But I did the scratch test and it passed***1 year update held up amazing. There is one spot but honestly it could have been avoided a cleaning bottle left spilt over and lifted the paint. The rest of the flooring is in great shape like the day I painted it!

Turns white when wet
Leaves light spots anywhere water spills for a period of time, like wood furniture does. Not sure if it is durable enough for flooring.

Pleasantly surprised.
Rust-oleum you should expect a quality product and wasn't disappointed. Painted matt black over white tiles. Easy to apply, happy with the results. Was planning to remove and re-tile. Figured try this first. Bath room traffic is minimal so no comment on durability.

DONT BUY
After mopping and degreasing my floor 4 times, I started painting with a foam roller and it just keeps heading up, not sticking at all. Annnnd there’s absolutely no way this is one coat, I can see through it. So frustrating! Waste of time and $

This works 4 a short time
It literally last 3 to 4 weeks before starting to peel again
