great hub
The product itself is great and does what it should adds the type a usb ports and sd card slots I need and looks good too.Unfortunately yet again amazon delievery guys are useless, it was dumped on the doorstep without even ringing the door bell or knocking if it had not been for my dog barking I would not have known it was there.

Great Mac Mini Addition
You love or hate apple products. I love them, but still see their faults - difficult port access and no storage upgrades. This fixes both - I've added a 2TB SSD (no hard drive hanging off the back of the mini) and easy access ports. You gain another hdmi port (3 monitors running) and a VGA if you still use these things. All of my ports and more are now easily accessible. I don't have to move the mini, just plug-and-play. The USB-C port I lost on the back to plug this in is replaced with another on the front - you win, you win. Perfect fit to the mini footprint, no noise, no problems. Highly recommended for an instant Mac Mini upgrade that can come with you when you upgrade to a new Mac Mini too.

Great value
I actually purchased this purely to put an ssd init to increase the storage on my Mac mini, and to keep things tidy. I decided on this as it was nearly half the price of the other one I was looking at. Had it up and running within minutes. The read and write speeds from the ssd are decent. The extra USB ports at the front will also come in handy. If anything, it’s just lacking a USB C type port. But for the price and my needs it’s perfect.

ALL USB PORTS FAILED AFTER 15 MONTHS USE
I bought this in February 2023 and it worked well for over a year, enabling me to connect several devices there was no room for on my Mac mini. However today all the USB ports failed and I'm now left with just the SD port and the internal SSD I added for additional storage. I've connected the devices originally plugged into the docking station directly into the Mac mini (one at a time) and they have all worked OK so I'm sure the fault lies with docking station. I don't know if it can be repaired or by whom so I've given it 2 stars for value for money. For the price I paid I would expect more than 15 months use

USB 3.0 not confirmed by system info
Paired with an M2 Studio Max, this seemed a very good match. However, during setup data transfer seemed slower than expected, and on checking System Information it seems that the USB 3.0 connection to the host Mac is not matched by USB 3.0 in two of the front-facing four USB-A ports as expected; all four, connecting USB 3.1 peripherals, reported as USB 2.0. There were also minor issues when setting up with a Crucial 4TB SSD, and in the morning the partitions were found to have disconnected multiple times producing a string of Disk Ejected warnings. Although this looks and feels a good product, no risks can be taken so the model it copies - which costs almost twice as much - was ordered and this returned. I would suspect all the no-name OEM variants to be found are similar.

Thumbs up from me
Got this a while ago for a Mac Mini, buit kept it even after upgrading to an M4 mac mini. Sure it's big but still fits underneath it okay.

Faulty out of the box
Fitted with a good quality Crucial SSD - notice acceptable burst speeds but these quickly fell to 20-30MB/sec. Replaced the USB C cable with a quality cable from my Samsung T5 external SSD. Then noticed if I touch the cable when running BlackMagic Disk Speed Test the drive was disconnected. Snagged this to a faulty USB C female port on the enclosure.Clearly the unit is faulty and not worth risking use with any critical data. Returned to Amazon for refund. Will order a more expensive unit. Buy cheap, buy twice.
