Love it!!! Great art and methods of learning.
Author did a great job illustrating and explaining the cell. She uses recall and repeat:review to help the reader learn the materials. My 5 yr old loves it and reads it on her own. I am planning to get the entire series!

Love it.
I love it, the family loves it. I might be nice if there could be a couple of really simple paragraphs explaining what each organelle actually does in more detail. Absent that, the book isn't going to have a terribly long shelf life.

only for young children interested in cell biology
Some described this book as useful for middle schoolers but I think it is more a picture book for young children on a topic they may find advanced. It clearly states on the back of the book"elementary text teach young readers" and "sound-it-out sections provide pronunciation". I wish I had had access to that info before ordering. Way too basic for my needs.

Cellular Biology
How I appreciate your book, April Chloe Terrazas!Having identified that I have Auto-immune problems, for years, this book has given me insight about how the cell is constructed and how to pronounce the parts of the cell when speaking to my alternative health clinician; I couldn't understand the words he uses when speaking to me about how my body cells work and I sure couldn't pronounce the words when speaking to him after.Thankfully, I'm 74 and not too old to be reading the book; ha, ha! Ms, Terrazas, your age range should be 0 to 100 rather than the range of 0 to 75!Thank you, once again for making it so easy to know how my body cells are constructed and how to say the words even at age 74; I feel so much smarter.I'm so happy to learn, from the back of the book, that there is more information about the body coming in the future. I will look forward to continuing my education about my body. Thank you Ms. Terrazas!Em

Great intro to learn the different parts of a cell
My 7 and 5 years old memorized the parts of a cell in their homeschool co-op. I was looking for a book that would teach them what each part of the cell does. I tried another elementary science textbook but it was over their head. This book was perfect - the author has a way to present complex ideas in a simple manner that is easy to understand. The information is basic and engaging. Great intro for little ones!
