Maxxhaul 80439 Aluminum RAMp Top Kit

Just arrived today / all parts listed were included and so I put it together today. 3' tailgate to ground when open so you should use 2x8x12' board. height of tail gate to ground (3') X 4 = length of ramp in feet. Gives you 15o slope.Once the ramp is attached to the board, there is about a 1/2" gap on the top side. The instructions say that is correct. However, I didn't think the gap should be there so just cut the end of the board by 1/2'' one side/nothing on the other so the end is now slanted. When bolted to the board, there is no gap.Only issue is the bolt that is used although square below the top, turns when the nut is attached. They say to hammer the top down so the square bites into the wood to prevent the bolt from turning when tightened. NEVER GONNA HAPPEN. The bolt will turn.Use a pair of vice grips to hold one side (the top) when turning the nut with a socket wrench (the bottom). Eventually the nut will pull the bolt tight to the board.Haven't had a chance to use it yet but looks sturdy enough for my purposes

Stiffer and less likely to bend than simple bent steel versions even with relatively small lawn tractors - a vast improvement.Just bought a new set for a Compact Utility Tractor which is considerably heavier (around 2000 pounds).I wouldn't normally use these at all for a tractor this large, but if the brackets were to break, the "drop" is less than 6 inches. Would not use these with high ramps (eg: for a trailer).Wish the tongues were a little longer so that if you're using it with shipping container, the pin holes you want to drill to keep the ramps from sliding will be in the plywood floor, not the steel threshold.

Montage facile et rapide, en 5 min j’avais 2 belles montées pour mon 4 roues dans ma remise. J’ai utilisé des 2x10 pour avoir un peu plus de largeur. J’ai gardé l’espace qu’il y a entre le frame de métal et le bois … il ne me dérange pas. Certains ont coupé en angle à 14-15 degré …. Pourquoi faire honnêtement ce n’est pas plus solide!

Great product. I found 5-6’ ramp worked well for me. Obviously angle of ramp varies based on trailer angle but it grips well and works well despite the angle.

Kit came quickly, was easy to install with a 2x8 and was very good quality. Works like a charm to load my 300 pound dirt bike on my pickup.
