What to know
If you have never used one stick into the spark plug hole and pull the start cord until it stops( locking the piston in place). now you can take the clutch off. Don't be alarmed if it spits the thing out a time or two until you get it to work properly. Works as it should.

Nice tool.
Nice tool for clutch removal. Way over priced, but essential for worry free repair work. Much better than stuffing rope in to your cylinder. It makes removing the clutch a breeze. Fast, simple, and easy.

I’m not mad, just disappointed.
This didn’t work on my Stihl ms271, I tried both ends of this tool in my spark plug hole at varying depths and angles but no matter what I did the cylinder either had enough room to fully cycle or the tool would pop out of my hole once I put some pressure on the clutch nut.I ended up just shoving a rope into my hole, which allowed me to remove the clutch with ease. The description says that it will fit MOST Stihl chainsaws so I can’t really be mad I suppose. The price was low enough that I’ll keep it and try it on my Echo if the need ever arises.

Works Perfectly and Safely
Works perfectly and safely while loosening the flywheel and or clutch on my Stihl chainsaws. Never liked using the "rope" method; too easy to lose a piece of the rope into the crankcase. This tool makes the process easy peasy.
