Every book is amazing and gets better and better, and Bossman is definitely my favorite so far! This book had everything that I love, angst, drama, forbidden romance, and a bunch of laughs. It was the perfect book for me and just what I needed. I loved Chase and his wild stories and how he was relentless in his pursuit of Reece. He was bossy, sexy, sweet, and kind all wrapped into one. He may have come off as a jerk when Reece first met him, but she soon found out she couldn't escape him. Reece has been unlucky in love, and when she meets the sexy, yet cocky guy in the hallway as she's trying to get an excuse to leave her date, she's annoyed, yet intrigued. When he disrupts her dinner with his date in tow, and ends up saving the night for her, she's in shock, and when she runs into him again, she can't keep her mind off of him. But then she gets a new job, and the sexy jerk is her new boss! I loved how she tried to stick by her beliefs and tried to stay away from him, but these two were meant to be together. The back and forth between these two characters is amazing. I loved their conversations, and the banter between them. Chase is hilarious with all the wild stories he tells, and but has a softer side to him as well. As the book progresses we get glimpses into Chase's life and the loss he has experienced. My heart broke for him, but I was happy to see him moving forward after so many years, and Reece was just the one for him to move on with. Reece tried to so hard to stay away from the "bossman" but when push came to shove, she knew she couldn't resist him, and once she gave in, things got steamy! I really enjoyed watching Reece and Chase navigate their way into the relationship they ended with. It had many ups and downs, and twists and turns, but worked perfect for them. I loved how their story ended, and I can't help smiling even after ending the book with the way things ended. If you're looking for a beautifully written stand alone that you will not be able to put down, definitely pick up Bossman today, trust me, you won't regret it! Review: 4.5 stars, fantastic dialogue, great banter, loved it - Bossman by Vi Keeland 4.5 stars!!! “Fear does not stop death. It stops life.” For me, Vi Keeland is one of those that authors that always delivers, whether it be solely penned or collaboration I can guarantee that I will get a read that makes my heart melt, my emotions run rampant and a smile that runs from ear to ear and Bossman is no different. The banter and dialogue in this book is some of the best that I have read in a long, long time. From the time that these two characters first meet their chemistry is palpable and the ease with which they banter back and forth goes to show just how similar and well suited they were. They fed off each other, their senses of humour almost equal and their quick witted stories and comebacks were hilarious as well as a joy to read. In short and in essence these two just made sense. “It did what I intended it to do – lightened the mood – but it also had desire fighting the voice of reason inside of me. And, at the moment, desire was kicking reason’s a$$.” Reese Annesley is not having the best of times, having resigned from her job, by necessity, she is floundering around trying to find something that best suits her and her talents. She is in marketing and having worked in her past job for seven years is a little out of touch with the job market. If job hunting wasn’t bad enough her man hunt had little luck either and finding herself on another dead end date she goes to the ladies to make the “rescue me” call. Chase Parker overhears her desperate pleas on the phone and after rudely interrupting and telling Reese she was out of order she begins to explain just how much of a disaster this date is. Thinking no more of it she goes back to her table…much to her surprise, Chase calls her name from his table and introduces himself as a friend from way back and the rest is history. Who is Chase Parker? From the minute Chase and Reese first meet you have that intense feeling, that feeling of knowing that something great is going to happen. The way these two fed off each other was a joy to read and really made this book for me. Chase is not your typical Billionaire business suit. He has the charm and swagger and a touch of cockiness, but he is just a normal man, with a fantastic sense of humour and a heart of gold. He was just one of your mates and all round good guy and one that will capture many reader’s hearts. “Sweetheart, I know you. You didn’t put up that wall to keep him out. You put it up to watch him break it down to get to you.” When these two bump into each other again it seems fate has other ideas and when Chase passes Reese’s details to a recruiter and she ends up working for him it seems the dating gods have these two firmly in their sights, however, Reese doesn’t mix business and pleasure as that is what led to her unemployment in the first place. Bossman better have game! “Stop worrying. Harassment policy only applies to employees, not to the owner. Checked this morning.” Vi Keeland though actually gives you a well-rounded story, not only based on their present and future but also their pasts. These two have a lot in common and while at times Vi Keeland pulls at every heart string and emotion she then proudly puts you together with another hilarious scene that will have you wondering why you were sad in the first place. “I’m tired of looking back. It’s been a long time since I’ve wanted to live in the moment.” This book has a touch of everything, everything I loved and everything I wanted to read. Another fantastic read from Vi Keeland.

“Don’t focus on the what ifs. Focus on what is.” Wow! This book was amazing. I loved, loved, loved it! It’s no surprise to me that I adored this book so much considering Vi Keeland is one of my all-time favourite authors. Her books are always fun, sexy and easy going with a hint of emotional undertones. I was so excited to find Vi was releasing another book and when I saw the cover I was sold. I am completely attracted to men with piercings and the cover showcased the epitome of everything I love. I am yet to read a book either written or co-written by Vi that I didn’t love. This was such a highly anticipated read for me and I am so glad it did not disappoint. “What do women want?” “Power, adventure and orgasms.” “Bossman” starts with Reese on a blind date which isn’t going so well. She makes an excuse to go to the bathroom as a way of escaping. While she’s gone she calls her best friend in order to get her to call with an “emergency,” so Reese can ditch her date. Her best-friend, however doesn’t answer the phone, so Reese leaves a voicemail message detailing all the horrible events of her date. While she is busy telling her friend all about this date from hell, she is unaware there is a hot stranger listening in. The hot stranger gives Reese a hard time in relation to her date and then leaves her speechless. When she returns to her boring date, she attempts to search for this hot mystery man who has returned to his date and then when they lock eyes, he takes it upon himself to invite himself and his date to join Reese. “Do you feel what you do to me? What you’ve done to me since that first night.” The hot mystery stranger is non-other than Chase Parker. After the initial meeting they bump into each other a couple more times randomly and Chase offers to help Reese to find a job. That’s how Chase becomes “bossman.” After previous bad experiences with office romances before, Reese has sworn off ever becoming involved with someone from the workplace again, especially not the boss. Chase is very persistent and cocky in his attempts to woo Reese. The attraction and chemistry between Chase and Reese was undeniable. The sexual tension just jumped off the pages. I loved how this was a slow burn romance and the fact that Reese didn’t automatically jump straight into bed with Chase. It added to the electrifying angst and anticipation of the story. The writing and character development was perfect and I fell in love with these two characters almost instantly. I loved the constant banter between them, it was absolutely hilarious. “I want more with you. I can’t promise you what that is or where it will go, but it’s more than just physical. I’m attracted to everything about you – you’re smart, honest, funny, brave, a little nutty – and you make me smile for no reason. There’s no denying I want you in my bed. I think you’ve caught on to that part by now. But I want this, too. I’m tired of looking back. It’s been a long time since I’ve wanted to live in the moment.” I would most definitely recommend this story to anyone who loves their forbidden office romances, which is full of angst, sexual tension, hot, steamy scenes and laugh out loud moments. Even though this was a fun, sexy and light-hearted read, it was still emotional and had the ability to make me feel everything, thanks to the stunning writing which was both poignant and moving. This story is about, love, loss and the ability to move forward after suffering immense tragedy. If you’re looking for a heart-warming, beautifully written story then you should most definitely give this one a go.

This is a very sweet story. Wow!! The humour and flirting and chemistry is so good. Chase is such a great guy. He is so refreshingly different from the typical Alpha male leads of such novels. He is so balanced and respectful of his woman. It was heartbreaking and yet so beautiful. My only complaint… it ended too soon.

I love this book! Read it some time ago already on a different site. Even the second time around I had a smile on my face while reading :) A feel good book but not cheesy and with good quality characters and banters

Well Vi Keeland has done it once again.....created and wrote the perfect story!!!. Bossman was amazing and I simply couldn't put it down. Once I started I knew this was a little gem or I should say huge gem as this story kept getting better and better....but of course we have Chase as the "Bossman"....wow they don't make bosses like they use to!!! I am in the process of looking for a new job....I hope I find a Chase as well....lol!!! The oh so hot and sexy Chase Parker is the owner of a successful company and meets Reese (Buttercup - love his pet name for her) in usual circumstances when they are both on a date with other people. My summary stops right here as you have to and must read this to find out how this beautiful, amazing, funny, loving and yes sad at times story plays out. I fell in love with Chase and Reese from page one as their chemistry with one another draws you in and gravitates you to read further. Don't kid yourself in knowing how this is going to play out, your typical office romance because it isn't. It is about two people who had difficult circumstances happen to them and are trying to find their way together. Does it happen??? Does it work out? Will their office romance work out or will reality set in and tamper with their love? Like I said it is definitely worth finding out....now!!! I loved this five star read from beginning to end as Vi Keeland does not disappoint. Her brilliance only makes you question when does her next read come out as her writing and story telling is exceptional. Thanks Vi Keeland for yet another enjoyable and beautiful read!!!!

I came across this book because the audiobook is included in my audible subscription and the synopsis caught my eye. So I decided to listen to and read it at the same time. It's such a good story. I really really liked it; I really related to Chase, his loss, and his grief. I only have one "but", and that's the ending I would have like at least another epilogue from Chase's perspective.
