Very easy to use. Just have some rubber gloves.
I wish I could give this 6 stars. I had a small but annoying drip coming from my cast iron plumbing which is now over 50 years old. This was easy to apply. Just break off a small piece and knead. It sticks directly and cures very fast. Just spread it over the leaking area. So far it has been a few weeks and the leak is still dry. I see this as a permanent fix that will last a very long time. There is a slight odor but it goes away as it cures. The repair is not attractive to look at. Maybe a more seasoned veteran could make it look better but it is on a pipe in my basement and saved me hundreds.

Saved hundreds I’m sure
Was delivered on time, but I’m giving it five stars.. had a leak under kitchen sink.. hasn’t even been 4 hours and I can tell.. it’s going to hold. It literally feels like a cast already. If it doesn’t work will update. A professional could have done better but as a single woman did my best .

A Quick Fix, But Could Be Better
This is going to be a positive review because the Off White color was appealing and I found the product easy to use, meeting my expectations. I used it to repair a cracked skimmer in our pool. The putty mixed up easily and the application was straightforward. The only hitch? The size and quantity. A mere 2 oz. stick and only one in a pack - a bit meager for the price if you ask me. It's early days, so time will tell how it holds up. Despite this, I'd still recommend it as a handy, quick fix!

Great, affordable product
Tiny crack on a brazz nozzle in the garage needed mending. It's an old school, solid brass part so replacement is expensive and it hooks up to a water hose in the garage so I didn't want to waste money. Bought this on a whim, followed the simple instructions, put a layer over the crack and voila....it's fixed and holding up nearly five months later. Wear disposable gloves when working with this. It's a bit of a pain to take off after contact with the skin.

I refurbish and repurpose cast iron cookware and pretty much anything that's cast iron because it's my passion
I refurbish and repurpose cast iron cookware and pretty much anything that's cast iron because it's my passion. When my boss who owns a barn in Connecticut that was built in the 1700's found this out, he immediately thought it would be a fun challenge to start digging up old cast iron pots that he would find in the ground in his barn to bring to me to see what I could do to bring them back to life. The first project he gave me was an antique S&P Kettle pot. It was severely cracked on the bottom. When it comes to cast iron, you have to weigh your options and in this case it really wasn't worth having somebody weld it together for me because it could have created more damage because the crack was that severe. I felt because this wasn't going to be used for cooking and a great repurposing project, I consulted with my service managers because they work with these kind of materials and would know what kind of bonding agents in materials would be best to use that would be effective to do the job for these kind of projects. Because my job involves working with plumbing and cast iron and things of that nature, I knew that I was talking to probably some of the best resources. They recommended this product and I purchased two tubes from Amazon because I wasn't sure exactly how much of this stuff I was going to or needed to use. Sometimes it's always hard to tell from the picture on Amazon as opposed to what you get when you actually receive it in the mail. It is a putty type material and it is white. I only used one tube and not even close to half of it so a little goes a very long way! The putty works perfectly and it goes within the crevices that you needed to and you can shape it but you have to make sure you do it quickly before it dries because it does dry quickly as well which is great. I didn't want it to be perfect I shaved it enough to fill in the huge crack. Because it's white I knew I didn't have to make it look pretty because I knew I was going to be repainting the whole pot once the putty had dried. Before I did any painting, I did a test just to humor myself and I filled the pot with water. I have to say that no water left that pot anywhere and if I wanted to use the pot for just a planter at this point, I am incredibly confident that I could do that without any worries of leakage. So I have plenty of this left for the next time I come across a crackpot repurposing project and I'm excited with the fact that I have a product that is amazing and will definitely be able to use and it will work. So whether you're going to use this for plumbing needs, repurposing needs or whatever, not only is the price right, but this stuff is awesome. It does the job. Again though just to be clear, it is white and dries white so if Aesthetics are an issue for you, you should count on definitely painting over it with the color that matches the item that you're working on.

Disappointed
My first J-B Weld product and I'm not impressed. 1. Instructions say "tear off"...it wouldn't tear,it just stretched out like taffy, so I cut it. 2. "Use gloves": no way, it sticks to gloves to where you can't work it. 3. Knead until uniform color: it's all the same color, I just went by a 60-count 4. Impossible to smooth once applied. Several times in the past I have used another product (brand starts with "O", sold at store "L") that had none of those problems. So far it has fixed the leak, we'll see...

Does the job but you may need to put several coats on to fully stop the leak!
For some reason, I needed to put on several coats to stop a leak in water container, but I got it done! You need to really mix well as the center mix seems to be lacking and the mixing gets more on your fingers than where you will want to put it. I waited a day or longer between coats for it to fully dry before I water tested. It kept leaking ever so slightly finally got it on my last coating! I cleaned, sanded and cleaned again before applying epoxy...

Good but I had some trouble with it
It definitely hardens underwater, but I needed it to stick underwater to a plastic drain. It didn't seem to have enough stickiness to do so unfortunately, it just fell off in a big chunk.

Wonderful Waterweld
Bought this to repair a cracked external 90 degree drain pipe. Easy to use...just cut of the amount required & mould together on you fingers. I recommend wearing some protective plastic / rubber / silicone gloves as this suff stick to you like a limpet... Easy to mould and apply but be quick...once mixed you can actually feel it starting to set as you use it. Full Setting time is dependent on temperature but mine went hard within 15 minutes at 15C. Once set, it is never goes 100% solid like some other epoxy products so keeps a bit of flexibility (95%) and doesn't go brittle. I've also found it useful for filling oversized holes in various materials and re-drilling for screws and rawplugs. Highly recommend this product if you have a water pipe needing some long term or temporary repair and more...it works...
