I was so excited for GF licorice, but was overall disappointed. The texture was hard and weird, taste seemed bland and a bit unnatural. Then add the price, I won't be purchasing this again.

I have purchased these before and have never been disappointed until today. I have Celiac Disease so gluten free licorice is not easy to find. My past purchases with YUMEARTH have always been good, and had always enjoyed the flavour of this liquorice. A day or two ago I purchased 5 strawberry bags and they arrived today. I was excited to see them at the door and opened up the first of the packages almost immediately. I noticed that this candy was very hard and very difficult to chew, to the point that if people had issues with their teeth, I’d tell them to avoid this product so as to not damage their teeth. After a while, this licorice did soften, but I noticed that it began to “crumble” into smaller pieces as I chewed. It is obvious to me that these are old product and although their Expiry Date is Feb 27, 2025, in my opinion they should go into the compost bin today. All of this has been terribly disappointing and it is apparent that they should not be consumed. Thank you, ACUPDATE: I would like to have these packages replaced by someone at “YUMEARTH” and am hoping that they will reach out to me to facilitate this. As mentioned in the review, I have been a repeat customer. Thank you

I found these while looking for black licorice (as a Celiac, finding gluten free black licorice was difficult). During my search I found YumEarth also made strawberry licorice. I am not disappointed... well may be I am since the bag is now empty (learned my lesson to not share with the family) and I need to wait for a new order to arrive.
