Exactly what I wanted
I was looking for a small, portable speaker with decent sound in order to play white noise on my phone with a timer. Looking on the Apple site, they have a few Gear4 products, but not this small speaker.Out of the box, it's nice & lightweight; the size is perfect for my nightstand; and there are several adapters to fit various models of players & phones. It takes 3 AAA batteries (but it won't charge the device if you run it that way) and also comes with the power adapter (batteries aren't included).I docked my phone into the little speaker and turned on the white noise app. Sound was great for this small speaker. Played a few songs on it and I was impressed at the quality. All in all, great product for what I wanted. I've used it now for about a week and I haven't been disappointed once.If I had *one* complaint, it would be the blue light being a little bright when it's on. I like my room pitch black when I sleep, but it wasn't horribly disturbing. I just put a small piece of tape over it and the problem is solved!

No remote included
The sound is good and I am generally happy with this product but it is advertised to have a remote control and there is not one included. That was the selling point for this purchase so it did impact my satisfaction.

If it Holds up I'm Happy!
I was pleasantly surprised regarding this small and inexpensive speaker dock. I was fed up with buying iHome's for my ipod that kept breaking down and just wanted something with decent sound that worked as a charging dock and would fit on my nightstand. This little speaker does not come with any bells or whistles - it has a a power button and volume buttons. However, the sound is really excellent for small spaces and can be moved from room to room cordlessly with batteries.As long as it holds up I'm a happy camper.

The speaker did not work directly with the ipod I had. I had to buy an additional auxiliary cord to make it work.

It works great for me
It works great for me. I have a Ipod Nano 6th Gen.. The small one that is touch screen and normally 8 GB. It is loud and clear and projects music all around the house. I have not used it with the battery mode yet, but so far I am happy.
