Venom: Space Knight Vol. 1: Agent of the Cosmos (Venom: Space Knight (2015-2016))

A glorious romp through the marvel universe
I went into this volume not having read anything that came before it. That made this kind of awkward, since this spins directly out of an arc from the guardians of the galaxy. The venom symbiote has been cleansed, whatever that means, this volume never properly explains that, and flash Thompson is now wandering across the universe as a freelancing hero. Over the course of this story flash assembles some wacky crew of miscreants whom are all glorious, a suicidal robot, a giant murderous panda, and a red cottonseed warrior woman who claims flash for her harem of husbands. The art I'd greet kind of photorealistic that makes all the cosmic space wackiness all the better. It's site great volume, and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a standard space adventure but isn't digging Bendis writing guardians of the galaxy.

Flash Thompson Venom in a gorgeous pulp sci-fi series
After a stint with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel now takes the Rom, Space Knight path and makes Agent Venom as an Agent of the Cosmos. Robbie Thompson's story doesn't break new ground but is an enjoyable homage to pulp science fiction tales of before. The real star here is Ariel Olivetti's astounding painted art. It captures the spirit of those Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers tales with lush alienscapes and fantastic creatures.

I hope this series has a long run
It was hard me to believe they took one of my favorite comic book villains and turned him into a hero set in a pulpy Sci-Fi world that is reminiscent of works from half a century ago. There's a suicidal robot sidekick, Space Pandas, and more. The artwork is great and looks like almost every frame was painted in a way to match the style of old pulp Sci-Fi. If you want something that is light and fun to read, then this is a great buy.

Better than expected
Honestly, it's not the kind of story I want the Venom character to go in, but I can't deny that it was a fun, pulpy sci do adventure. I really liked it as it's own thing, and the artwork was fantastic.

Super fun read
Super fun read, probably could have used better shipping/handling method, this came in a bubble wrapped envelope with corner protectors or a hard shell around the paperback itself. Was a little bummed it had some shipping scuff imprinted on the cover. Other than that, great art, fun story, and can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Gute Unterhaltung
Kaufempfehlung!

Go flash go!
I really enjoyed it. Took a bit of time for me to except flash as venom. Never thought I would say it ( Think I like flash more than eddie brock)
