Chef's INSPIRATIONS Digital Meat Thermometer and Timer, White

We used this for Thanksgiving dinner and it worked perfectly. We had a turkey breast, so we set it the thermometer to the turkey setting and we didn't open the oven door once. We took the meat out according to the timer and it was perfectly cooked. Super easy and convenient.

Bought this October 26. Loved it. Worked great used it a couple dozen times then this morning inserted it in my Thanksgiving Turkey and the temperature reading said hhh. The alarm went off and could not get it to work. Tried replacing the batteries and still no luck. Works great if you are looking for a disposable thermometer since it will only last a few weeks I wouldn't waste your money on it. I would return it but I threw away the box😬

Works like expected...BUT....well, probably more my fault then the thermometer...bought for "inside cooking", for the oven ect. Well, of course it's made for BBQ's apparently and didn't think that would matter, well, it does, ugh, gonna keep looking for another one. Ok, so it doesn't have a "stand", or foot of any kind, actually "rounded" so "won't" stand up on the counter at all, can hardly even lean it up against anything to try and see it. Ok, then the "viewing" angle is ridiculous, and if not viewed "straight on", you just can't see it...think that would be the case on a grill as well, really not view able...so terrible in that regard. Hmm, while writing this I thought about maybe trying to find a place to stick it on the stove/oven itself, hmm, found a spot, not real convenient but we'll see ;) Think I'll still be looking for another one.

The purpose of one of these devices is that you can leave the probe in so you don't have to open a lid and insert a probe in the meat to test the temperature. Will work fine for a smoker but can't handle grill heat. Display shows HHH which likely means it overheated in the grill. Product description says it's rated for 472 degrees yet they say you can use it on the grill. Poor advertising. Mine's now in the trash. Don't use on a gas grill, it's pretty useless, as a gas grill will get a lot hotter than that for sure.

Found this on sale and what a bargain! This thermometer made Thanksgiving a breeze! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a thermometer. It even comes with batteries and a basting brush! Good stuff!

Used it for my turkey at thanksgiving. Worked great. Pulled it out today for my easter ham and just kept giving me and error message. Replaced the batteries still nothing. What a waste of money

I waited until I had the chance to use the Chef's Inspirations Meat Thermometer several times before reviewing it. I've used it on an oven roasted turkey, chicken, lobster pot pie, and tested the temperature of liquid.The included instructions are very basic, and I think more information would be helpful. Other than that, it's easy to use.

There seems to be no way to enter a time or temperature, only the kind of meat one is cooking. I wanted a thermometer that could accept my time and/or temperature preferences, not those that are preprogramed.
